Congrats Julian!!!!!!!

And Nem, I certainly hope the damage was not to extensive. It always sucks to have to make repairs due to un-expected damage. How heavy was the weight to cause such damage?

YAY, I just bought a Canon S90. B-stock but with 12 month warranty and it was half the new price.

I've heard good things about those. :)

I don't have to convince my Wifey that we NEED a BGE, she is the one telling me we need one. Sadly I didn't make it to the dealers the other day to check them out. I did make it to Cutlury USA and they didn't have any Shun Ken's in the store, let alone the 10" Onion I wanted to test fit.

On a good note the W didn't need tubes in her ears. She is just sensitive to water in her ears. So a bunch of instructions and drops and 400 bucks later she is going to be OK.

I need to find that thread about ohm load and midrange speakers and how it is not as it's with subwoofers.

The SA Neo's are 8 ohm and the SAX 100.4 is 100 watts at 4. So if I go with 10's they will be getting 50W instead of 200W.

I think I should've posted it this way:

although there are no t/s specs yet, he mentioned they have high efficiency so the 100.4 should be fine to power them. also, the 100.4 will do more then 50 @ 8 ohms..

Don't worry about it.

At the same time he referenced a decrease in efficiency to allow it to play lower. Still should be more than a "normal" driver.

The thought behind the 8Ω was that everyone will be running 2 of them per channel so you will have a 4Ω load, perfect for the SAX 4ch. I dunno.

I don't think so. More of a design mantra, but that could easily be a side effect.

got that right. Since i am looking into another Alpine, any of the basic model CDA's are over 250bucks. As of right now I am looking into this one.

Plastic. And no silver coating. Haven't checked for light loss through the sides.
