12 gauge 00 buck :werd_msword:

20 gauge 2 buck works fine too

12 gauge up, 20 gauge down.

Don't worry about hand gun unless you want to shoot handguns for fun. 12 with 00 buck is the panultimate home protecter.

Shark week :woot:

Sharks have a week dedicated to me. ;)

Why, do you fish for them or swim with them?

I swim with them every chance I get.

It is from the Dos Equis commercials. ;)

WTF, I see the Red Lobster crabfest commercials on TV so I'm intrigued to go there. The gf and I drive 40 minutes to get to the nearest one and the menu and pricing is exactly the same. There are no additional dishes to accentuate crabfest. It's just marketing crap, probably to get rid of remaining fresh crab after the season is over or something (I'm not really sure when crab season actually is). What a crock. In addition, they were out of ALL fish. No salmon, tilapia, flounder, or any fresh fish of the day. So basically we go to choose from shrimp (which my gf doesn't like), lobster, or crab. We each get crab, she gets the king and I get snow and we split half and half. Now of course it was delicious and we went there for crab anyways, but I like their stuffed flounder and would have gotten that as well. And I thought there would actually be something special about crabfest. So we were a bit deliciously disappointed.

No such thing as fresh crab unless you are a fisherman. It starts to deteriorate REALLY, REALLY fast so it is always cooked and frozen asap. The best in fact is cooked and frozen on the boat. Bristol Bay FTMFW!!

Either way, you should NEVER eat at a Red Lobster, fucking terrible.

I think there was a time my mother used to buy them live... I remember live lobster and crab from my childhood.

MMmmmmMmm

Are there any pen guys here? Penophiles? That sounds absolutely horrible.... anyway, it may sound a bit stupid but I want a fountain pen. It wrote so great.

I grew up using one and I cannot find anything like it. They all seam insanely expencive, or sucky and scratchy.

:(

I use Faber-Castell and Micron brand pens at work for stencils.

Rollerball or fountain?

I use the fountain. Both brands use india ink, which is what kind of ink my hectogragh machine needs to work.

These pens are loved by many of artists.

I will check it out. I was also sue india ink and fountain pens didn't work together because of the thicker constiancy and particulate in india ink.

Thanks for the tip though. I miss having a slightly heavier writing tool that takes no pressure. And for some reason I like them. I hope I don't turn into some weird guy spending too much money on effed up old pens that sit in cases.

energy from new solar installations has, for the first time, become cheaper than energy from new nuclear plants, according to a new Duke University study. Thanks to cost-saving technologies and economies of scale, price can no longer be an excuse to invest in nuclear power rather than solar.

ehh, fuck

Nuke power is the power of the future. Forget the hippies and the stigma about nuke plants.

I would love it if I could cover my roof with solar panels. HOA won't allow that though.

The WSJ reports that in 2008, before the release of Internet Explorer 8, Microsoft's browser team intended to include a feature that would block third-party trackers—the snippets of code that collect personal, anonymous information (catnip for advertisers) that populate websites by the dozens. What was especially radical was that the feature would be turned on by default, automatically giving users a much tighter hold on their personal information and browsing habits than offered by previous versions of the browser, or any competing browser.

But that idea didn't sit well with Brian McAndrews, a Microsoft senior VP who had previously been CEO of aQuantive, a web advertising company Microsoft had acquired for $6 billion just a year before, in 2007. He was worried that the proposed feature would cause a "stampede" away from tracking technologies, making it harder for the company to sell ads online.

The browser team held their ground, and one executive said of the ensuing debate that he had never seen an internal conflict "so driven by external influences and conflicting priorities to protect users."

The result was a compromise that deferred heavily to the interests of advertisers, as well as Microsoft's ad sales team: the tracker blocking feature, InPrivate Filtering, was included in IE8, but users had to turn it on every time they fired up the browser.

I wish I had that much free time at my job, or job security that I could attempt something like that.

I posted this over at HOTS but thought I would here as well....

I badly need(audio from TV is becomeing too much to deal with) some audio processing in my living room and my bedroom. I also need at least 2 chan for these aplications.

For the living room I have a PS3 and cable. Bedroom is just a BRD player.

I would like to feed audio from my home server/pc to the livingroom, and maybe the bedroom. I'm not sure how much receiver I should be buying.... I have an integra that doesn't have HDMI but has optical. I guessed that one for the bedroom. For the living room though the W wants to plug in her ipod, and then she saw that some of them have DNLA and can run pandora etc.

As for speakers...... I could break up the energy RC 5 chan system I have 3 for the livingroom and then the bookshelves for the bedroom..... Or I buy 4 new speakers....
