So I have put on the freshman 15 my junior and senior year. Pretty much since I turned 21, the beer intake has spiked. I need to get back to into shape. Any suggestions? I've heard about p90x, but know no one who has tried it.

Eat 12 cups of veggies a day

Interesting. I'll have to bet some veggies. The thing is, the only veggies I really like are carrots, Cucumbers, and tomatoes(even though they're a fruit). Would upping my fruit intake help too.

without working out?

Just add protein. boiled chicken or shakes every 3 hours.

You'll drop crap loads of fat ASAP.

There isn't a drug made that is as effective that is also legal. I've tried them all, and ones that no longer are.

I've been cutting down carbs so that's helped a bit. I am going to try to make time to work out. I come from a family who is big into lifting. My dad is a competitive powerlifter. He could teach me a thing or two in the gym. He's about my height, 5'8" but like a little under 300 lbs. 22" biceps, at his peak he was benching 635, that was before his surgery. Now he lifts a little lighter which is still a lot! :)

Yeah fruit will help some but I dont know if it will have that great of an effect. I eat a banana and orange a day and sometimes throw a can of pineapples in there a couple days out the week. My immune and digestive system love the fruit intake.

Lifting > cardio for effecient fat loss.

I would ask pops. I would love to have him show me a thing or two!

What are the pros and cons of a 9mm, .40 caliber and .45 caliber (I know the size of the bullet is different)? Thanks plus I more of a compact gun size person, not too small or too big.

Find one that you like and fits you, then worry about caliber.

Yeah I definitely will do that just wanted to know what advantages a caliber might have over the other thats all if any.

For self defense, more energy delivered is better of course, but that being said shot placement trumps all. With quality defensive ammunition all will work just fine to stop a threat.

Ok gotcha, so when it comes to caliber you should decide that on personal preference and which one you can have more control and accuracy when aiming for a target.

Fruit won't help. Veggies will displace other intake and will generally make you healthier. In the process I bet you drop weight. It's HARD to eat 12 cups a day and that is really the amount you should.

I try to eat a lot of veggies when I do instead of filling myself up with meat when I eat now. I have been treating my body better lately and can tell in my health among other things. I just gotta to work out more but I never been big on working out except for a lot of push-ups and cardio (running, walking or basketball) when the temperature is nice since I hate being in cold weather.

Sounds good. I'll have to make a trip to the grocery store in the next few days. We'll see when my paycheck is deposited.

I need someone to record the sound. Then if anyone breaks into the house, I am going to play it over the stereo coming from upstairs followed by a verbal warning.

I'm assuming due to nature of the conversation, you are not planning to complete a concealed carry course and carry?

I am looking for that............Suggestions?

Are you looking for a pocket carry piece or something full sized?

Ideally something more in the full sized area. I dont like the idea of a pistol in my pocket. Especially with how much is in them usually.

I have fired the 9mm the .40 and the .45.

Wife loves the Springfield XD .45 I want it to fit her hands too and that fits perfectly.

Wielding the biggest weapon doesn't hurt either, but that is only a deterrent. Obviously hitting your target is what will stop them if the deterrent fails. And for me with a handgun that is like a shot in the dark. Not so good with guns, but of course I've hardly ever held one.

Good holsters go a LONG way to concealing a firearm.

Its pretty hard to beat a J-Frame in .38 +P or .357 though.
