I need to vent... the dude that bought my avionixx axa440.4 bridged the rear channel at 2 ohms.

So he starts telling me how the amp cuts out, only the rear channel though. I ask him what the VC of his sub he was powering, dual 2 ohm, ok... sounding good, then wait, i ask him if he's got one or 2 subs. he says 2. so i automatilly think he's got them wired to 2 ohms. he says yes and shows me a diagram he used to verify it. sure enough the subs were wired to a nominal imp of 2 ohms. it took him the longest time to comprehend that resistance is lowered when you bridge. i gave him a diagram and told him to bridge at 8 ohms since it is the only acceptable load available with the VC config he has. he says he'll try it, so hopefully all will turn out well, i had good experience with my other avionixx at lower ohm loads. but you never know till you try.

wwwwwhhhhhheeeeeewwwwwww...

that felt good.

Jim,

My HT amp has the one AUX in. Right now I've got my Sony CD player hooked up to it through that. I've got the Auto FM and Mono FM, AM, Phono 1, and Phono 2. I want to hook my TV up to the amp ... should I split the AUX or run it to one of the Phono inputs? My guess is that I'd have to split the AUX.

Steve, I have the same situation.

However, i just un plug the RCA's from my computer to the amp and plug in the RCA's from my VCR (tv doesnt have audio out).

I dont see why you couldnt split the aux input, its only 1 source at a time.
