I used to have this give away "sub zero" bag. I was solid down to -10. I was just a kid, never tried colder.

My mom got it free with Marlboro miles I think. It was a POS but I am a human heater. On the road trip back from fla I slept at a truck stop in the back of a uhaul. It was -3 in fucking Texas. All I had were 3-4 ot those furtniture blankets and my buddies mattress.

That night I was actually cold.

I'm a human heater too. During winter it's 55-58F in my room and I sleep in boxers and a t-shirt and only have one blanket.

It's pretty fun to get into the office and my hands are burning. Granted I only pedal 10 minutes in the cold but last winter it was down to -5F in the morning :)

Adrian, this is one of my favorite knives ever. I don't know if it is still made. The blade though unique, was such a useful shape. Boxes will fall in record time. Twine, sticks and anything else cleve apart like the red sea. Ok, maybe not that awesome, but it worked well for me.

I had a knockoff for a while that I used at work.

In college I relied only on my bike as a form of transportation and pretty much wore a sweatshirt and a down vest even when it was down near -40C. I got funny looks.

What's funny is that I use a box knife for boxes.

Flip blade in about 2 seconds, change in about 5. I keep a couple in my garage and one in the truck.

What's funny is that I use a box knife for boxes.

I liked the folding box cutters best, and one of the guys had the knife I linked(old cheep knock off version) that he left behind. It was a little sturdier for when I had to cut material tougher than just paper or tape.

For the longest time I used to just keep those folding box cutters or one like you linked around. Just moved onto more multi use knives since I don't with with packages all that much anymore.

Just like this but for 5 bucks on sale when I got like 5 of them. Maybe different brand.

Super sturdy and fit in my pocket and clipped on.

I carry one of these on me at all times. I would suggest one with a knurled handle though. I really like the Craftsman knives.

Those kind of knives tear my hands up when reaching into my pockets

I use the clip on mine, and you're supposed to close it before placing it in your pocket.

Amateur. My wife is a webernet shopper extreme. 20 packages is a slow week. None are big boxes though.

Or espresso. What is more expensive a $1500 machine or the 2 $150+ machines that got thrown away?

$150 + $150 = $300

$300 < $1500

Same thing with pans.

New Tfal every year for 4 years at $20 each.

Frustrated, buy All Clad with lifetime replacement for $80.

Which $80 was well spent?

I bought my wife this Swiss Diamond set and the Swiss Diamond grill pan for Christmas last year. It is a very solid set for non-stick.

Well it turns out one of the XCONs I bought (of course the one I didn't choose to use right away) is blown. Shame on me for not testing it. If anyone needs a motor PM me.

Not including utils in your expense calculation is idiotic.

$1500 for something useful is cheaper than $300 in the garbage. I know I'd surely rather buy something for $1500 than throw away $300.

I don't have a clue as to what I'm doing for subs now. I need more than the single 12. I don't know whether I want to recone or sell what I have and start over. I also don't know if I should go bigger if I recone. I effing hate this hobby.

You just asked which was more expensive you never asked about usefulness.
