Sorry, but the older guy is trying too hard to down play the Lamborghini. It has to be the most superior car he has driven, if not top 3. He just comes off like a hipster, when they degrade something amazing as if they are too cool for it.

i walked into a classroom and there she sat. i wanted so bad to sit next to her. i seen her walk into the building and i jammed my bad ass Alpine system (9813, 4 type r 12's and 2 thors in my DeVille hoping she would see me). when i walked in i seen her immediatelly. she asked me to sit by her. i was stung, i couldn't believe it. "what did i say, what did i do?" i loved her very with everything i had, EVERYTHING I HAD. i have nothing left

Yup. If they would have simply said that they wouldn't take it even if they had the money because it's not their style it would have been much better. But they did get a little snobby with it, and that ruined their credibility to me. Saying the only thing good about it is down shifting to hear high RPMs was sad. He even admitted the AND was amazing.. but it had too many gizmos.

I am a Lamborghini guy though. For classics I am less rat rod and more mod street over the top power kind of guy. I would like to see a deuce coope with some over built turbo powered something.

Considering my love of the flamboyant and over the top power it amazes me that I am so stirred when I drive a P car.

I don't think I could complain about getting to drive that car, but maybe that's just me. Maybe one day!

putting a ton of stuff on CL actually. Celly cell, rims/tires, game cube love sacks, bike, and truck.

Funny as I think I just found out what the electrical problem is.

<- specializes in automotive electrical and drivability problems.

Come to MN. I will buy you a beer

What seems to be the issue?

2 things. It has been fitted with an E fan. It is some cheep rig. One fan no redundancy. It died, and while looking for a replacement about 2 weeks later the battery would be low on volts when starting. I think it got a bad ground.

Doubtful. The reason is simple. The issue would have to be on the switch side if it is killing the battery. If the switch is open a ground would be of no concern. If the battery is dying while the car is off, then there is likely an issue on the switch side. It is possible a bad ground is causing the relay to arc and stick, but a quick feel of the relay connector would show it to be really hot if that were the case.

How is it switched? Is it one of those tie strap units on the upper hose or is it switched via a coolant sensor? Where is the relay tied into? Is the relay tied into switched or constant power?

What kind of vehicle are we refering to here? It is possible the unit has been tied into some sort of keep alive module like a GEM, FEM or REM on a Ford or a CJB on a Chrysler or a time out relay module on a GM. Modules like these are set to time out after a certain amount of key off time with no power drain on the system. If they see some sort of power drain beyond a certain limit they will never power down.

Have you used an ammeter to check for actual current drain after shut down and cycle down on the vehicle?

Yikes. Surprise visit from a bunch of Chrysler execs to our facility and I'm not there since I didn't know about it. Not the support crew I want there either :(

Technical people are sometimes exuberant about sharing details and features. None of which are important to the customer. Only benefits are and to be a benefit that requires that it is something that the customer needs which requires asking questions before sharing benefits. That is very hard for a techy person to do. Hell that is hard for most of my sales people to do. Personally I don't get it as it is by far the easiest thing to do to make a sales call more comfy, but somehow that isn't understood across the board.

Understand, maybe a little quick coaching is in order to help them convey the needed information?

The rat rod looks very cool, but if it cannot be really driven, it is not cool at all (especially when it is dressed up to look like it has and still has a hard life. It that case, the rat rod in this piece is truly the poser car.

According to TMZ, Megadeth lead singer Dave Mustaine made some outrageous statements about President Obama at an August 7 performance in Singapore (the news only emerged today, as the video was strapped to a carrier pigeon). Mustaine told the crowd:

"Back in my country, my president ... he's trying to pass a gun ban, so he's staging all of these murders, like the 'Fast And Furious' thing down at the border ... Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there ... and now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple ... I don't know where I'm gonna live if America keeps going the way it's going because it looks like it's turning into Nazi America."
