Here's my view. Of course in winter, it's just barren land. Oh the plains. . . .

One of my bosses from the US works in Iowa and commutes past corn fields. 40 minute drive, only corn fields on both sides of the road. It seems boring :P

.....is the Lincoln navigator the same as an expedition? I'm finding them on craigslist for better prices than the expeditions and even screw f-150's. It's all the same frame and so same suspension etc etc.

They look good but if they are not as rugged I'll pass.

Much more sound deadening for NVH, full time AWD, the Lincoln has air suspension, and the 99+ Navis got DOHC heads. 5lbs of boost and you're over 500HP.

Huh?

With so little boost it gets so much stank? I wonder how it would look with a lift skid plate and 35" on it...

Is it safe to push that engine with so much power with no internal work done? Tranny and rear end can handle it?

The 4V heads move a LOT of air. Pressurize the cylinders a bit and dump a lot of fuel and you're good. All the components will easily handle that. The only thing I would worry about would be the rods, but tons of people run them at 600 or so with no issues. Just make sure your tune is safe and you'll be fine.

I would disagree. Those rear ends suck balls.

I've seen thousands of them with hundreds of thousands of miles and no issues.

Thousands? Really?

I rebuild a ton of them. Aside from the Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee I have not seen a more problematic differential in years.

Jeep Cherokee / Grand Cherokee / Wrangler rear diff is a turd. As soon as mine bites the dust I'm getting a Ford 8.8. Same bolt pattern, 5/8" narrower, correct gear ratio, discs. Bombproof for what I do :)

Sean does this sound right:

Minidsp 2x4

RevB for 2v input (using headunit)

Basic 2-way crossover software from their site.

2 mids, 2 tweets.

Anything I'm missing? I have usb cables, and lappy. My headunit has a relatively low signal output, so I don't think I'll need to boost that, and if I decide to use the signal output straight from the Ipad / phone I can switch the sensitivity on the minidsp board to what the revA comes with 0.9v.

Almost. Get the advanced 4 way crossover. That allows independent crossovers on all four channels which is whay you need. And yes, dip switch to change.

Note: this will give you no sub processing, but considering you only need a HP & LP the amp should have that.

You should get the DC voltage conditioner for $11 too. In case you go headunitless you'll need it to prevent turn on pop. Also better for the unit anyways.

Perfect. smile.png

ditching the ms8?

Yep, and the HAT L4s.

nice, i'd love to mess around with the minidsp. Haven't followed your build in a while. Are going back to just the anarchy's and tweets?

Yeah I'll just pull the kicks out, and back two the original 2-way.

It'll be nice having more flexibility, and I know I'll get more midbass back which should be sweet.

That method is actually tempting, since I could go headunitless, buy a Galaxy S2 and have more processing power than I currently have.

I want a miniDSP anyway and with the money I can sell my HU for I can get an S2.

No I am not, but you stated they have no idea how to design a seat. I think they designed mine quite well. Honestly, why would you expect them to design a seat well for a tall person. I am a giant by comparison, so you are just a freak of nature to them.tongue.png

The Germans don't have that problem. Actually even when I was smaller I thought Toy seats were uncomfortable. Better than Honduh seats but not by that much. Padding is in all the wrong places and there is absolutely no lower leg support. Add being tall and you are effed.

Damn military guys not caring about being comfortable. You need to be pampered occasionally.

Call it adaptation. Spend 10+ hr days in a military vehicle fighting sleep from the low toned but loud hum of the engine, and anything is comfortable. Not to mention I can sleep in places and positions that would break most people.

J

There is the parallel to Japan. Those fuckers can sleep standing up on a train. Fucking nuts.

My problem with the Tundra is that I am comfortable for maybe 10 minutes. Fucking Japanese have no idea how to design a seat. Absolutely terrible. I can almost seeing them laughing and pointing at us: "ha, ha, fuck you whitey. you buy our car for reliability so we fuck you with uncomfortable ass seat."

Japanese newspapers have reported that Toshiba Corporation is interested in selling a 16 percent stake in U.S. nuclear power-plant company Westinghouse Electric Co. LLC as it looks to prioritize its nuclear business in emerging markets.

Toshiba currently holds 67 percent of Westinghouse and will look to sell the stake to nuclear technology companies that have strong links to emerging markets, the news report said.

Toshiba is possibly looking to partner with firms that possess reactor-related technologies to help it get overseas orders.

Without naming any of the potential companies, the report said that a U.S.-based firm is among the preferred buyers.

When originally purchased in 2006 from British Nuclear Fuels Plc, Westinghouse owners were Toshiba with a 77 percent stake, Shaw 20 percent and IHI Corporation (a Japanese Engineering firm) at 3 percent. Toshiba paid about $4.2 billion for 77 percent stake in Westinghouse.

Toshiba's stake fell to 67 percent after the company sold 10 percent to a Kazakhstan's nuclear power company, Kazatomprom.

Toshiba has also been seeking buyers for a 20 percent stake that Shaw Group plans to sell back to Toshiba by January 2013. This is a separate deal from the latest 16 percent stake offering.

Yea seems normal today for people.

How about a 4000 watt amp that only has a 40amp fuse on and 8 guage power wire.
