I really hate the social media tabs on the side of the site, honestly had I known they would be added I would have bought a laptop with a bigger screen.

Those tabs barely take up any space, unless there's an issue with your browser, and they are always open?

I just disable them with Adblock Plus.

Sweet. Mark still has his car setup for a demo vehicle right?

Nope, he bought a CX-9 because the Hyundai was too small for the family, and he saw how good my Mazda's have been. wink.png

m

Mark has a familly?

In a little over 2 years, he went from engaged in Arizona, to engaged again in NY with 3 kids.

That's why I was confused. Last I knew of his relationships he broke things off with Az.

Finally HOME!

You beat me. I will remind you Sunday or Monday, is that ok?

That'd be great. Can do Monday. Waiting for a shipment myself which will give me a box :)

I just like to zoom more than I was able to. When I had the font the size that I liked the ads took up 25% of the screen. Adblock plus worked perfectly.

Get a bigger screen...

Haha that's what I said originally. I've always had a 17" laptop but wanted something smaller and lighter so I bought a 15". All is good now!

I despise big laptops, but carry mine around for a living. Really was hoping Windows 8 would let you do some smart default setting for window openings/font/layout and such.

Quick question for you guys. When I'm cooking steaks on the cast iron it usually burns the steak in a few places (and doesn't carmelize on others) when I go for super hot heat. Should I just pull it off sooner or what? I leave it on one side for about a min. If I cut the heat a little I get good caramel but have a more done steak( perfect for the gf however)

What fat are you cooking with? I use pig fat usually. Butter is ok for a fillet.

Medium high for....60 seconds sears each side. Maybe less. Then in an over at 500 for 4-5 min.

Always rare and perfect.

Meat should always have a light layer of fat on it. You should also press it into the pan as you want contact. It'll release when it's ready. When you say burn, do you mean beyond yummy burn?

Then in an over at 500 for 4-5 min.

Sear hot, then cook low. Real low isn't bad. Much harder to time if you use 300 or so but the rewards don't suck.

Butter seems to go nuts in a hot pan but ill try some. Also the burn is normally right past yummy. Normally I don't put fat over the steak I usually pepper then salt then throw it on. The steak normally adds the fat

I would imagine it really tough to try at 300. Do you use an internal thermometer?

If you are cooking a fillet, there is not enough fat for cast iron cooking without adding some extra. Redeye, maybe, but the fat would need to render and it's usually too hot and too fast for that to happen.

I would like a small laptop myself. 14" or so. For single tasks I have my tabletand for real work I have my home machine. A laptop is really only for traveling multitasking and intense single tasking.

I need a large fast machine to research effectively or work on a large project.
