Um, no.

I had a hell of a time find a quad pot and ended up paying $50 as it was the cheapest I could find. You aren't going to find a reasonable 6 post. Perhaps a modular ALPS one can be configured that way, but it'll probably cost more than what I bought.

Yeah, I don't understand a word of that. I de-soldered the one on the Audio Control for remote mount. I bought a separate switch to mount behind it for turn on, but it would be so much easier and more reliable if I could just replace the entire thing with one control. I have found several of them that I think will work, but I don't know. There are all different resistances, wiring configs, etc. . .

What have you found and what are you replacing?

Mine is literally a volume control between the Droid and the amps. Just an attenuator. I needed 4 legs (quad) and couldn't find shit in an audio taper (logarithmic). A linear pot will drive you nuts.

Depending on what it is, a variety of different impedances will work.

Yes, along with an on/off integrated into the pot.

Ok, dumb question here... I've never looked for one of these... I'm looking for a 'cheap' floor jack/scissor jack that I can buy to keep in the truck toolbox, it came with a spare but no jack. I'm not going to heave my 3ton floor jack in and out of a toolbox so any recommendations on a small not total piece o'shit jack to buy and keep in it?

'94 F150 4x4 with stock sized tires for those who don't know.

It looks like O'Really auto parts has a 2 ton small hydraulic jack and jack stands for 50$, that'll do for changing a tire on the side of the road. No way in hell would I get under a vehicle with that jack without it being blocked up, but for a tire it'll work.

I don't see that happening in an audio taper...without dropping bucks. And then you still won't get on off.

I have an on/off switch in the boat to kill the amps if I want, but my amps turn on with my ignition. 3sec delay circuit and no amplifier pop.

Do you know anyone selling their vehicle? If so, grab theirs. I'd also bet a scrapyard can't get much for stock jacks.

One of the grad students, I put a fuel pump in that the other week. I didn't bring a fuel line disconnect tool and for the life of me I couldn't get the damn thing undone with makshift ones so i had to replace it under the truck, that slightly sucked.

It is very old and run down with tractors and car sitting all over. Next time I am there I will get some, but they will not be pretty. :)

All this talk of wire lately makes me wonder why people don't use grounding cable. When repairs were made to our sub station they gave me quite a nice piece and it is flexable and they said a little cheaper then welding cable. Atleast that is what the guys from GE told me.

I think so, only 150k miles on it and the doors even shut properly, no slamming required.
