BBIAB. Going to mow and maybe spark spark one up.

Ok... so about Ashton. I have now had the pleasure of 3 of them. They do not have the huge 60 ring size I like. They are really pricey... and both have formed holes in the wrappers while smoking. Neither sat for long, and though they are not in a humidor(I need one badly) They did have a humidity control pouch in the plastic bag with them and were kept at reasonable temperature.

Here is one more brand that I will say treated me right with my most recent purchase from them. Olivia. I have had a couple that I would never try again, but maybe I was just pointed to the wrong flavor. The most recent one was just my speed though.

Rocky Patel is just fine too. They are not as tightly packed usualy though... sometimes that causes issues with the wrapper. Like the Ashton. But they are a little cheeper sometimes. They also have so many sizes you can get a shorty if you want that.

Humidity packs last only so long. If you cover shipping I'll send ya a nice desktop humi. Also where do you purchase your stogies? Might be some place cheaper that could provide you some real deals.

J

Right now I buy from a place called stogies on grand. I'm going through trying some of everything and I get a 10% or something back. Like every 500 bucks gets me a $50 gift certificate.

I don't know about online vendors. Most of the good deals I have found have a TON of cigars I don't want. And even if I gave them away or sold them for a couple bucks I would be at a loss. My uncle lives way up north here in MN and gets about a large bundle for 60 bucks of "imperfect" ones and those are pretty good. Nothing fantastic, but great for sitting on a lake "fishing".

Thanks for the humidor offer. How big is it? I have never, ever researched buying one so I know nothing about them. I just buy the packs every month or so.

The humi is a desk top one. Holds about 50 sticks. I can season it up for ya before it ships, and it makes a damn good starter humi.

As for buying cigars buy the sampiler packs or single sticks. Yes it sucks to wait, but all three of these sites ship FRESH and well packed. Additionally, they offer prices and packages that will make your smoking experiences great with limited loss of cash.

I will check those places out. Most of what I found online is similarly priced to the local place after shipping etc.

What is seasoning a humidor?

What is seasoning a humidor?

Apply seasoning to the outside of the humidor, and the aroma will gradually make it's way into the humidor from the temperature difference.

I kid, hehe.

No fucking idea.

Post boating I did the ritual mow, weed whack, leafblower the whole yard and cleanup our woods. 2 hours of bullshit.

Normally the w mows, but I was getting sick of waiting.

Someone remind me in a half hour to turn the sprinkler system back on. Don't want it to run tonight and it's scheduled for 10, but want it to in the AM.

And Mr. Neal, thank you again. Completely noise free boat. Sounds great.

Will sound better when I get off my ass and build a sub box and some tower speakers.

If we lived closer, I think we would be best of friends doing all kinds of crazy things with the little men.

I am looking foward to your boat build. :)

You'll laugh at my mounting locations. Sort of hung upside down under the dash out of harms way. Can't be seen, won't be found or understood by thieves and can't get touched or hurt. Hell the miniDSP's are next to it and they are bare circuit boards :P

Do you know where the gain was set on it? I didn't open it and spent ZERO time tuning.

Put amp gains on minimum, set minidsp to cross over at 80Hz, plugged in line driver and launched the boat.

I'll have plenty of time on the water to dink with it later, installing was the first key.

Actually getting through the nightmare or 35 solder welds in my volume control when I couldn't find my pen iron was really the only thing I had to do. The rest was a bunch of zip ties and trimming.

I did succumb to a few solderless connectors in very non-key locations but ONLY because I ran out of solder.

By far the most complex wiring setup I've ever put in a vehicle albeit over a very short distance.

Funny since it's a simple no head unit install.

Not positive, but 6 or 9 volts seems to come to mind. We were playing with an SSL amp to prove my point.
