Sounds fun.

A year or so back, we bought a 450 four stroke just for kicks, to see what all the "rave" was about.

As expected, nothing spectacular, but we loaned it to another buddy so he could ride for a few months until he got another bike.

What do brand new two stroke sleds start at? 9k?

Start is a strange word. A well equipped one (read good shocks, track etc) is closer to $11k, but deals worth a few grand off can happen.

I have a 2010 that I bought with 1200mi for $5500 OTD last Feb. Today I could probably sell it for $6000 still. The one I sold this fall I bought 2 years ago for $4500, put 2000 miles on it and sold it for $4300. Not bad for $200. The one I am looking at today, I'd sell the shock package off of it for $1800, put on $700 replacements and own the thing for about $3k. Be a great 2nd sled and a hoot when I really want to whoop things up.

Oh, and for reference. In stock class (clutching, track changes allowed but not motor mods) a new record was set this year. Snowmobiles are not a joke: 5.27 @ 124.9in 660'

Yes, this is on ice and perfectly setup for it, but the power to weight ratio and how it puts it to the ground on these things is fucking awesome. If Ryan could get over his misconception on the cold and embrace the weather there isn't anyone on this board who I think would like it as much.

Quite a few years ago on CL, you would see two strokes for cheap, as everyone was out getting four strokes, then in the last few years people have some what migrated back, and the two stroke prices on CL have risen.

I got a killer deal on my bike. Dealership had it for a few years, couldn't move it, listed it in cycle trader, and we just happened to look that day. Out the door, brand new 2007 rm250, $3500.00

The 2010 ktm was a bit more. :P

Anyone actually played with this stuff? I could think of a few things it'd be useful for.

*now watch, someone will have something better and I'll feel dumb

That is just like the beads that come with fx fangs. I may have to get a jar and see for myself.

I wonder how the bungee hooks would hold up?

After seeing the teeth I was hoping you'd say that smile.gif

If you want fangs check into these. http://scarecrowfang...ome.php?cat=523

We use these at the haunt.

Speaking of fast, Ferrari's new halo model is supposedly going to have an 800 hp 7.3-liter V12 with a 120 hp KERS system and weigh only 2,500 pounds.
