Was going to offer a Caponata, but more steps to that than making Lasagna even if you make your own noodles. Add to it, its eggplant and an acquired taste and perhaps not. Vegan and yummy though.

<- has said that phrase about three things total in my life....maybe

Anyone here have to deal with packrats making homes in their engine bays?

Cocksuckers keep coming back. Generally if I drive it everyday it's not a big issue, but lately it's been bad. We cleared a bunch of cactus and shit where they were making nests near the house.

I won't have the hood up over night. I've heard lights can piss them off. Any led kit I could put under the hood, wouldn't draw too much amperage? Or if it used it's own batteries?

Any other tricks?

If you don't have a dog, a 5 gal pail with 1" of antifreeze in it works pretty well. Just put it right next to your car. Nice too that it preserves them as they die so they don't smell.

Sounds perfect. I'll put it under the car so I don't end up killing some javelina or coyotes.

We sold our house last year, didn't quite get what we wanted, but made up on the new one. Hope it sells quickly.

When they bleed you know you've done well.

When they bleed that means you aren't practicing enough!

And that you won't be practicing again until they heal....

J, I have no idea what your experience is in, what your degree would be in, nor what you would be applying for. A generic answer is like a rule of thumb...not accurate.

I tried before, but if you want more feedback I'll need to know more as well.

The one thing is for sure, I will always try to hire the best person for the job. That means I'll take some calculated risk, but that depends also on the other candidates.

Good point Sean.

Most of my experience is in writing, correcting and submitting evaluations, recommendations for awards, processing financial documents, and various other military related paperwork. Delegation, supervision, and suggestions as to how to accomplish a mission are all withing my daily duties scope.

Degree as of now is in Business Management. I have considered psychology as well. If I got a 'no-name' paid for diploma I would go for Business administration, management, or psychology. As for the job I would apply for...............that is the hundred million dollar question lately.

J

And the 100million dollar question will determine the answer to the question you asked me.

Honestly, looking for something along the lines of management, supervisory, sales, etc.

My passions seem to lie in car audio, beer, travel, good food (possibly mediocre food for your tastes IMO) helping people with addictions, and advisory positions.

I know at 27, with no degree pretty much anything besides car audio install and sales will be one hell of an uphill battle.

J

If you want to hire into a management or supervisory role you'll need experience. No degree in the world can prepare you for that.

As for sales, if its technical sometimes a degree is helpful but usually its more of a crux than an assistant. Sales training on the other hand goes a really long ways. REALLY. Too bad there are so many shitty sales trainers.

Supervisory and management I have experience with the Army. As for sales, I have done some for my father's side of the family business (restaurant equipment) and done decently. I am a firm believer in experience being the best training. You can sit in class, and listen to people, and talk about it all day. It is not until you have done it that you know how good you are at it.

Hey guys. I'm sneaking in after my busy week. I'm going to my friends house tomorrow night for lasagna and I am looking to create a side dish and get some red wine.

For the side dish, I am bringing it because my girlfriend and I are not eating flour so I don't want to be a burden on the party. So it will need to be a "side" dish but something my girlfriend and I can eat as a main dish as well.

On to more important things. I'd love to get a delicious red wine. My girlfriend likes sweet wines but that's kind of out of the question with reds so its not very important. I'm really not sure which way to go with it. I like dry but I want it to be enjoyable for all the guests.

By the way Sean. I bought some cappolla Chardonnay and I loved it. It reminded me of a wine that I paid $24 for in Austin a few years back (which is one of the best wines I've had).

Yikes, Lasagna and no flour? Is your side dish to be protein based or more of a true side?

Are there any reds you like? Your gf and my tastes may not correlate so well, lol. I like my reds big & bold.

 and now its past tomorrow night. Sorry MK. :(

Also, can't say that I can think of a great side dish for Lasagna and if I brought something it woudl surely show it up, lol.

I just want to have some food while I'm there an not look weird just eating Salad. So it can really just be a side as I don't really want something that's going to dominate the lasagna. I can also grub on some food before/after if needed.

As far as the wine, I'm pretty much 100% sure my gf won't like it no matter what so I'm not looking to impress her with it lol. I know that I am a fan of Merlot and I want to say Cabernet Sauvignon .

You fubared that reply up. If someone reads that they are going to be very confused... lol

We ended up not have the dinner tonight. Too much conflict in the schedule.

And the problem with thinning the javalina population is?...

The Westminster Kennel Club announced yesterday that it had dropped Pedigree as a sponsor of its world-famous Dog Show after 24 years because its TV ads were too sad.

In an Associated Press article that reads like something out of The Onion, WKC director and Dog Show host David Frei explained that Pedigree’s commercials, which feature “puppies behind bars,” stood counter to the show’s message.

“We want people to think of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show as a celebration of the dogs in our lives,” said Frei. “Show me an ad with a dog with a smile; don’t try to shame me.”

WKC ultimately replaced Pedigree with Nestlé Purina PetCare, whose ads feature happier dogs. Frei says the club told Pedigree to loosen up, but was rebuffed.

“They’ve shared with us, when we parted ways, that they felt that our advertising was focused too much on the cause of adoption and that wasn’t really a shared vision,” said Mars Petcare US brand communications manager Melissa Martellotti.

The split came down to ideology: WKC, with its focus “on the purebred mission” opposed Pedigree’s mixed-breed adoption agenda.

Asked about the role the Dog Show sponsorship played in promoting Pedigree’s adoption initiatives, Martellotti used 2007 as an example, saying the company received over $500,000 in donations as a direct response to its Dog Show ads.

“People did not look away,” she told the AP. “They were inspired to pick up the phone and make donations.”

The 136th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is set to air this Monday and Tuesday on USA and CNBC. Some 3.4 million viewers tuned in last year.

The ad in question:

As a proud owner of 2 shelter dogs, WKC can lick my taint. Mutts rule.

Played my guitar for the first time in almost a year. My fingers fucking HURT.

When they bleed you know you've done well. Usually mine get to almost that point before I notice.

No bleeding. I haven't had that happen since I first started learning. I'd always played consistently until college.

I've never had my fingers bleed :WTFBubble:

Really? I used to ocasionally. My finger tips would crack open and bleed. Just like your knuckles can bleed when your skins dry I guess.

My finger tips are cracked and bleeding now. I think anyone who works with their hands or washed them a lot has this problem.
