I really want to buy some good 8's and a full range 3 or 4 and install it like Jared's car is setup in my Silverado.

I don't have the money for 3 way's but I don't think I would miss the tweets for now with a good mid-range.

I don't miss tweeters at all in the current setup. The full rangers definetly give a wider range of x-over points and slopes to blend with on the bottom, which really helped get the soundstage up high. Get them on axis and as far from reflective surfaces as you can and all should be golden.

I have two more channels on the RF 4ch amp I am running the full rangers on that I was saving for tweets, but at this point will be bridging the amp and get more power to the full rangers. I love headroom!!

A few questions for ANYONE that travels to tropical places. I will be celebrating my 10th anniversary in June. My plan is to take the wife somewhere tropical.

I will start with my ignorance about suck places. I have never traveled outside the US. The only beaches I have been to were in south and north Cali, Oregon, and Washington state. So you could say I would probably be happy just about anywhere thats truely tropical. I honestly don't know what I am looking for in the trip, it could go two ways.

Next, what I would like to get out of the trip. White sand beaches, turquoise water, LOTS of good food and Some local culture to take in. Would LOVE to go somewhere with ALOT of wilderness to explore and hike safely. Snorkeling would be fun too. I am a certified PADI diver but my wife is closterfobic so no diving.

I enjoy explroring local cultures but at the same time probably would like a place that is fairly americanized. I feel I could go two ways in making my choice. I think I would enjoy somewhere remote without any real americanization or could be super happy somewhere thats completely americanized. (remember I take myself to Disneyland every yr for my b-day)

Obviously if money where no object I would choice Bora Bora but its like 6k just for the plane tickets. The complete other direction would be Cancun bc its super americanized, dirt cheap and a single flight from Denver.

My list of places I have looked into starting with the places I think I would like best:

Bora Bora (remote)

Virgin islands, st thomas (touristy)

Virgin islands, st John (remote)

Cancun (touristy)

Key West (touristy)

Hawaii, big island (Remote)

Hawaii, honolulu (touristy)

corpus christi, TX

I have the 10k to go to Bora Bora but with ignorance being bliss is there somewhere I would enjoy just as much for less? This is obviously a once in a life time occasion so want it to be very rememberable.

Please Help me choose a place that will fit my needs.

Any feedback, other places to look into or questions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.:)

Grand Cayman, British Virgin Islands, and Anguilla are some very nice places. I know they are not on your list.

Neal, Why the British Virgins oppossed to the US Virgins? St. Johns looks appealling for exploring is why I ask. (no passport needed also)

Sean, Where in Costa Rica would you suggest for exploring? My W has been there as a teen with her family so I am sure she will have opinions on this one also.

Jared, I got married in St. Lucia earlier this year. It was a beautiful place with lots of things to do. The people there speak English well. I never felt uncomfortable walking around their big city, Castries. If you would like more info I can get you some. On the mobile site right now.

Where did you stay? What were your favorite places to explore?

It's harder to write a good resume than a Masters Thesis so approaching that in a class perhaps wouldn't be such a great thing.

Depends on who is at the defense. :P

Okay, then if I am the one on that side during the defense of the resume.

My defense was a little nerve racking. Had close to 75 people in a very steep lecture hall and I presented with a 15' screen behind me.

Sounds like my senior thesis.

Either way I said write, not defend :)

Write, yes I do agree. I rambled for 25-30 pages before really getting down to much specific focus or detail. Then it took me a while to wrangle my thoughts and bring it to a concise close towards the end.

Granted mine wasn't a thesis but a diploma project. I would have loved more time to explain :(

I'm not the best to respond with a single location :)

On our honeymoon we went to Chile with carry-on only and stayed in 15 different places over 16 nights. Included temperature fluctuations from 98F to 20F. Vacationing to me is a bit different. That being said I'd probably pick La Paz if I had to, but that is because I love the sounds of runnign water, but there are better beach locations for sure.
