Pre-employment testing for Invista scheduled for Thursday, an interview next week with Formosa Plastics, and I just submitted an application to Ineos Nitriles. Pretty solid week considering it's only Tuesday.

Formosa stopped me and talked to me at the A&M Career Fair. I think I talked to one of their Engineers.

Has anyone tried making baffles using HDPE plastic? Is it worth using over MDF? I've seen a few people use it instead of MDF and was curious if it made much of a difference. I can see where it would be more resistant to water, but I would hope the inside of a door wouldn't get so wet that it would matter.

I haven't, but you can always apply some resin to the mdf, makes it pretty water resistant.

You can use it, but nothing will stick to it so you will have to use mechanical fastening.

Yeah open room verse a car is quite different, but I still thought it could help, even at a lesser degree.

I didn't want the tweeters up on the dash because of reflections, and I've read that its somewhat easier to tame those from the kick area then a windshield.

Assuming I used tweets on the pillars, on axis, or off. How would the fr overall affect the staging? I thought the reflections from the windshield would wreak havoc on the staging. Possibly the ms8 autotune can work some magic, as it will already be on, and can't be avoided.

I don't get any reflections with this setup. Thanks to driver selection and mounting location I honestly only eq down a smidge at 2k hz. I think this is more due 2k being the freq we are most sensitive to than anything. As Sean said don't plan on the eq being part of the install as it is there to dial in after install. Boost should only be used for a big dip in the FR.

dam, what are the drivers in the doors?

I hadn't considered resin, that's a good idea. Thanks

Yea, I had read that. People usually just use screws, I'm assuming that would be ok. The only issue I can think of is clay etc wouldn't stick to it very well if I wanted to add that around the baffle for mass.

Look at wall, or something blank.

Meet Lint. Little salamander guy that was living in our basement. He was hanging out in a crack in the concrete pad under our dryer. Which is odd, I've lived in this area all of my life and never seen a wild lizard before. I didn't even realize we had them in this area. Anyways, my wife was so freaked out he was down in the basement, she literally would not go down there. But when I finally catch him, she won't let me release him back outside because of the cold weather. And yes, I realize you can't really keep wild lizards as pets. But my son has this little container thing, so we put him in there atleast for over night.
