I am going through 5 speed withdrawal.

I feel you. I still remember transitioning from my Mustang to the Explorer. Took weeks to remember that there was only two pedals at my feet.

Personally, even with bundle wrapping I've never been able to get my clothes to fit into anything short of a 24". I don't think I'd fair very well with just a carry-on

I carry on a full garment bag atm.

For a 2 day I just carry my laptop bag. I need something for a 3-5 day

I figured a guy like you would buy nothing but LV. :P

LV? I figured you'd say Tumi.

Louis Vuitton

I'm not a fag, just successful

Stefan, are you trying the TB without a tweeter first?

Yes.

I got my exodus' in the doors:

leftside.JPG

Still need to make a trim piece to cover the hacked up part of the door and speaker, and order deadener for the doors. Then I'll be able to tell if they work out in the doors (IB) or not.

I'm still going to try a midrange driver in lieu of the tweeter, mounted on the dash, and see if I like that more then the hds tweets.

If you can't get them ON axis it is really NOT a good idea.

I can, as long as the OD is under 3.5". Now if I decided to go with a bigger midrange (~4"), then see below.

The stage height improved immensely when I placed the tweeters up on the dash, I'm curious if the tweets were aimed differently in the kicks if that could achieve similar results. Though I thought even if they were a bit off in the kicks, the stage height wouldn't have affected.

Otherwise I could always put a midrange + tweeter in the kicks, that won't take up much room, and I could use the on-board amp on the ms8 for the tweets. :trippy:

Definitely different aiming in your kicks can do the same.

4" is rather big for in car, but I LOVE my TB's. Getting them on axis and potentially in an enclosure is a much higher priority.

:fing34: the TB's are fucking fantastic in my kicks.

Which driver specifically?

tb w4 1337

price is a bit steep now. i picked them up for about ~45$ a year ago.

these are the same sean is referencing. IIRC, he runs a pair indoors.

sean might have some input on the the cheaper ferrite motor models.

I have those yes, but the bamboo 3's are fantastic as well. Completely different driver, but the purpose is different too.

I was also looking at those, but paid more attention to others mainly due to the cone material. Although I did read the cone is fairly thin and doesn't offer the average metal cone sounding characteristics, so yeah. :ughdunno:

:P

And if you fart on the Ti's you'll leave marks.

Bah, Neo. No point. It's only performance advantage is less weight, but it costs more even with less material. What's the point?

Not the Neo that makes those drivers sweet. That just happens to be the part that makes them expensive

I think I'll likely order the bamboo ones and try them out.

I've been listening to the same songs for the last couple weeks on my headphones, getting well acquainted with the material for testing. :trippy:

You dun just fucked your ears.

Honestly, I forget I have a 5spd most of the time. Of course, my car has no balls whatsoever. If I were shopping for a sports car I'd have to have a manual transmission if available though.

Then your definition of sports car and mine are different. Fuck that. I want the car to make itself WAY faster than I could. :P

Can only eat what is in the house. Have some farm "fresh" hot dogs that were given to me that the wife occasionally will munch on while I'm gone. Nice snap in the casing, flavor was fine, but I feel dirty after eating only 2 of them.

Stupid since I have no problems with sausages that I make, just store bought shit with additives bug me

But shifting is fun. After all your not racing someone and losing that split second or so at every shift, or are you racing the local kids? :P

Clarification. Shifting is fun when your car is slow. Split second, rofl

Even on my slow & boring SUV a manual would be a huge waste....and probably a fucking retardedly expensive clutch.

Lol, I even know the processor...by name. Still bugs me a bit since I have no idea what he puts in them. Beef he says. Makes good moonshine though.

My car is an automatic, and slow. But it was $4900, gets me from a to b, and isn't a honda civic. :roflmao:

Thought about that after I wrote it. I've never drove anything like that, so my point of reference is a little different than yours.

I think you really like the automatics cause it's easier to eat your cheeseburger while driving. :P
