Is it weird that I find sanding flares relaxing ?

On my muscle relaxers I found that everything was relaxing.

For what I need (aka no Turbo and no plans of adding one) jet-hot is quoting me about 300 with shipping and all that included.

I'd love some input and opinions on that price. From what I have been seeing on alot of the Camaro/Firebird forums they are a VERY highly respected company.

Ryan, didn't know you had a Cobra.

My dad and brother built this F5; I was too young then to join.

That is freaking beautiful! Any more photos?

I didn't have an ACTUAL Cobra nor an original, rather a Mustang Cobra. What is sad is, I have no photos of the car.

I have a really sihtty one somewhere

I am just worried about possibility of rust lol

J

I wouldn't worry about it to much. I would be amazed if they rusted through in the lifetime of the car.

Agreed but it seems like every site I looked at today has been swearing that header wrap is the worst thing since Cancer.

J

I used it on my LTs on my Cobra and never had any issues. They're still on there too, although they were SS so that helps. I wouldn't worry about rust.

I am sorry for the lack of knowledge but what do you mean by LTs and SS?

J

Long Tubes and Stainless Steel.

I am not 110% sure of the material mine are made of. I thought about having them jet-hot treated.

J

You will quickly get to the law of diminishing returns in that car.

Just trying to control under the hood heat. Hopefully prevent more melted wires too. If it looks good while its serving its main purpose then I am all for it.

Crap Matt :(

I'm a big wuss when I'm sick but pain is usually ok. This time its not that way. The exercising is the only thing dragging my ass out of bed and able to move.

My mom had bad fibromyalgia. Crippling gets shingles occasionally bad from over stress.

That's my big fear along with my psoriasis getting into my joints.

Lol

Ryan I was thinking about the Jack beating me comment and it came to my mind that I've never been healthy for more than a few months since being on this forum.

Ok my brother is still using my P75 and my P150 is blowing fuses, I remember you guys were talking about Aura amps at PE and I was looking.

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=269-189

Would this amp put out what it says it will? For the price it seems like a great deal. What do you guys with Aura experience think?

my dad got the smaller 2 channel recently. very nice quality, seems to put out decent power to his comp's (aura 6.5's).

I may just order that today. PE does have that 45 day return policy.

You misunderstood. Spending a bunch of money on that car is sort of like spending it on dinner. It's good while you have it, but it's gone.

Some of us periodically blow $300 on dinner though. Although the period is probably in the femtoHz range.

Speaking of one of those meals, did I post the menu I made for Christmas here?

I've never spent that much for dinner, 150$ is about tops that I'll do, hell, can't even get much more than that anywhere around here.

A set of LT steel headers for that car can't be much more than what, 150$? I haven't looked at header prices in ~8 years, but last time I looked regular steel ones were cheap. If they are cheap, wrap 'em and be done, if they rot out in 5 years and you still have the car, throw another set on. Or get 'em powdercoated then wrap them. I've got some header powder coat I use for ovens here that is supposed to be good to 1000*F
