74 pounds of TQ..... With a 240 less cc

The much older Japan offering is 20 pounds less without carbon....... And new price to Kew price mine would be 1/4 assuming you don't get carbon. Yet my bike is from 2002, and costs 10% or so...... And my bike has room for improvement. The EBR..... Not nearly as much.

I don't know what kind of chairs you sit on, but all mine have back rests. Spending more than a few hours leaning over a bike is simply out of the question for me, especially with the riding position of most SS bikes.

Gobs of torque, how much do you have below 3500rpm? Can you pull out without using your throttle or do you have to slip it at 4-5k rpm?

How on earth does plastic protect the body? When i dropped my triumph it slid for at least 100' and I had to replace...clutch line, handlebars, and shift peg, oh yea and the turn signals. I could have still ridden it home as well as the clutch was still functional and shiftpeg was only bent, not broken. Two weeks prior my buddies yamaha 750 fell in his gravel driveway when it rained and it cost him 2x as much to replace the plastic as it did me to fix the triumph.

I fail to see what naked sacrifices? Aerodynamics at >100mph?

Surprised this is the first time Ducati has come up. Hate their dry clutch's.

LAWL. The 1190 RS is a joke when it comes to retail. Even EBR knows it. It was just a way for them to come to the public and say "we're here for real". Which is why I said i'm excited to see their full line-up when it comes out.

Either way, i'm not even a huge sport-bike fan. I like the 1190rs because it is different, a little bit. The headlight configuration is different and i enjoy the lack of Tuner-esque graphics on it. That being said, even if the bike was $12,000 I wouldn't buy it.

I don't race my Buell so I don't really care how slow it is. It's comfy. Has usable power. I think it's gorgeous now (small modifications). And most importantly to me: I don't see them on the street that often. And i like that it's american, take that for what you will, but that really does add something for me.

<-doesn't race either, I would negate everything I said if we were discussing speed as a primary factor.

if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for your 954 and what was the mileage when you got it?

You get me wrong. I think its all personal preferences. I hate crown royal. It's aged less and cared for less that some cheep kanook offerings. But people like it. I like red breast aged in cider barrels.

The 954 is comfy. Super comfy. I recomend you just try it..... It takes nothing to ride hard and fast.

Me, I'm affraid of choppers. Really bad. I nearly crashed a Cadillac on one because it didn't brake how I thought it should. It's all personal.

The numbers talk though.

I paid 9k a few weeks before it was on the public market. Easily one of the first in MN.

In retro specter I wouldn't buy used but an unmolested bike was so sexy at the time......

Dealership waited a few weeks to clear the check. They said Honda didn't want them closing the deal early. Gimik or not I paid a lot less and was one of the first on the road.

I've never ridden a 954 so I can't comment on its comfort level.

I see you're in Minnesota. We have similar seasons here in Michigan. It sucks.

Too much clothing. Why did they put Ferrari emblems on a blue car?
