Don't you have a discount tire as well? They'll match the rack pricing.

Not around here they won't. They get their tires from the Tire Rack.

They do here regularly as well and still always beat their prices by at least $10 on the set.

They always tell me they can't match them since they buy them there.

As odd as it was, the Gamecube controller was the most ergonomic ever imo. I liked it a lot.

always loved the triggers on the GC controller.. i think i need to dust mine off and play some super smash bros :)

Am I the only person that loved the N64 controller?

Nope I did

As did I.

and you have to pay extra just to get it there in 1

I live 3 miles from the Tire Rack world headquarters and distribution center. Since they no longer allow pick-ups, I have to have my tires shipped. We have two nearby UPS distribution centers;l one in Westville, IN, which is 35 miles West of me, and one in Hodgkins, IL, which is 2.5 hours West. The past two times I've ordered tires, they've gone from 3 miles away from my house, to Hodgkins, IL, to Westville, IN, to the South Bend branch, and finally to my home.

The beauty of getting too big to function properly. They must be following the DC model.

lol

That's shitty, even a lot of larger companies will allow you to pick them up. That's crazy.

They'll allow you to pick up IF you have a wholesale account. MY old man does, but it takes him two weeks to remember to call them, so I have to order tires a month in advance if I go through him.

Interesting. They are quick to fight them and guess what the shipping lables say?

I don't doubt you, I just know I've tried around here and nobody will match Tire Rack.

hmm, 80hp Case around the corner...

http://www.enginads.com/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/57594/cat/7

For sale: 1916 80hp CASE steam engine, boiler may need some work, running engine, good gearing. call or e-mail for more pictures. Great winter project. 320-654-9511

How's that for a placemarker to have me call tomorrow, lol.

What is that worth in that condition?

In my area you never see one for sale, a farmer would rather let it set in their field and rust away.

Depends all on the boiler.

New boiler is around $30k. A complete engine in "brand new condition" is worth $50k. A complete engine in good condition is worth about $15k.

Any news?

My reminder failed. Thank you for bringing it back up. I am just about to get on a conference call with Japan otherwise I'd do it right now!

If you EVER get a steam engine, I am taking a vacation to MN. I SO badly want to work on one. If I ever win the lottery, I am having one made to run a generator to power my home.

Even if I don't I can get you hours on one. If you dig around on the steamer forums a great majority of the folks who post are super good buddies with my pops.

I'll work on it though. My guess is that it'll happen before the Pantera as right now it is trumping those funds. Something turned in me that put the family first and this is going to be a memory maker.

In this case its as much for Grandpa and the boys as it is for me. I have huge memories of WMSTR growing up and I want my kids to have that, but unlike me I'd like their grandpa to be a part of it. I know he'd love that as well. My grandfathers weren't alive long enough for that to work for me.

I could use one as well. I am getting really sick of being gone all the time, hardly seeing my family and when home working until they are in bed. I managed to squeak away for an hour tonight to play with Aidan before dinner, but then had a conference with Japan. Instead of going to bed he stood outside my office door EXHAUSTED waiting for me. :(

Sorry to hear that. I like the idea of the tractor. Some of my best memories with the old man are from restoring cars with him.

What's the efficiency rating on a steam engine? I know of any engine it's rated at the highest.

I think it is awesome when parents pass the old world on to their children. Plus the little men would love to play on it while dad is driving.
