It was amusing while I did some paperwork. The jokes were pretty tough though.

What kind and what finish? Most oem wheels have a clear coat that is 90% of the problem.

The next question is what do you desire as an end result? Most wheels have nice enough aluminum to be polished to a near chrome finish if you want to invest the time.

Have I read wrong or it's true that it's better to leave the vehicle working if you know you'll have to start it again after ~5 minutes?

Something about the engine and fuel consumption when you fire it up.

:ughdunno:

i heard the same thing, something like ignition burns more gas than five mins of idle, but idk the truth.

Not really true. However it could cause more wear and tear... but still not likely on the engine, but yes the starter.

Definitely not true. If the engine is warm and you can shut it down for more than 10 seconds then you are saving gas and reducing pollutants. Technically, you do wear down the starting a little quicker and add a bit of wear to the engine from start up, but with a warm well running engine it is too negligible to make a difference.

I work in the air quality division at work :P.

The Ryan Dunn joke was too soon. Actually it would never be time for that joke.
