That's why I was hoping someone else would chime in. Like someone with a green title LOL, or Sean, where is Sean? Must be eating dinner or drinking that cheap stuff from a fuzzy bag?

Was up North. My title isn't green is it?

Well there are two formulas I pulled from his book,

portarea.jpg

This one seems absurd as the port area required is nuts.

And the second formula, listed as Small's formula,

portarea.jpg

This is the one I'm relying on.

I'm not sure what mach the latter formula is using to be honest.

It would vary depending on the power used, or would power be immaterial if it's using Vd already?

Modeling is best but I don't see average people taking the time to do it, hoping this would be better then nothing. :P

Now that you mention it, it does look more purple than pink. As long as your happy with it, lol.

Every time I've had red tail since I was 15, it was a bit of a surprise to both of us.

Fb is user dependent, tuning of the enclosure.

I've never figured out vents by hand. I've always used BassBox or some other program to get my mach under 18m/s and just build from there. Takes too much time to do the math and I've always had the software so why bother?

Better then formula probably, no need to go overboard on port area as formula might.

But this should be better then the 12-16 rule, I think? I should compare it.
