Did you ever get your 8s???

Not unless they arrived in the past 3 hours (I'm at work). I doubt it though....

-Nick

Well they screwed up...

xxxxxx did the paperwork on them himself and the boneheads in the shop lost it.

I mentioned that i never got a bill for them last night...and got a call today saying he thinks they goofed.

So they did.

I just got him to run them through himself this time.

I ordered some 8's for testing about 2 weeks ago. three different companies. two of the orders rolled in about a week ago. one order has yet to show up.

I got that quoted note above this afternoon, out of th blue as it were.

I'm glad the rep stumbled upon the error, as I prolly would've waited another week before saying anything...

yes... it works. has some coil scratch though. adire wont repair / rebuild it. "Not cost effective".

I sent You a whole one that way You can tear it down Yourself... :)

I figured You'd have to pop that paticular cherry at some point.

a torch would work, faster too. LoL

razor / utility knife.

run the blade all around the mounting edge of the basket where the surround is glued to it.

As for the spiders You can either: cut the mounting edge just as You have done with the surround -OR- soak the mounting edge with "Un-Glue" CA glue release agent, let it work a little while.

Cut the tinsel leads about halfway up.

Pull the cone straight up & out.

I suggest that You try to release the CA bond for the spider(s). If You simply cut, it'll be a PITA AND You'll have to use some elbow grease to get the last of it off once the moving assembly is removed.

If You want to keep the cone, former, and all of that seperately - get 3-4oz's of de-bond. ;)
