Help please.

I need a calendar/date book. Has to be tough and quality.

For my new responsibilities I need to break my day up and get some priorities. I want to get this electronically but I will also need something instant when I don’t have time to change it in my phone/online. It needs to be really professional oriented, but open enough to put personal appts in it also. I don’t know what exists out there, and I don’t have time to start searching completely without some form of direction. Any tips?

If it HAS to be paper, go to FranklinCovey, they will have ever possible option. I would personally think carefully over the detail you will need as the more at a glance the better, but only if it still holds what you need. Autosyncing Outlook calendar and phone is what I use, but I find that easiest since I am in Outlook or on my phone 100% of the time. Redundant calendars typically fail so pick paper OR electronic, I wouldn't try both unless you are extremely diligent in how you transfer information.

I don't like the idea of doing both, as I think it will take up more time. However, right now I have a work calendar and a personal one. I can have the work calendar info on the personal side, but not in the reverse. I thought a paper option might be the best intermediary untill I am willing to shell out for some portable tech.

Also work is obstinant to let me sync my phone to their outlook as of right now. Not high enough on the pay grade. A holes.

I've never had so much to do that I do cannot remember it off the top of my head. I've always had a great memory for those things.

Excluding Bdays etc.

putting something together for my bro for under a grand.. (change of plans m5, sold him on used gear)

alpine 9855 - ebay 200 - 225

kicker zx250.2 - ebay 115

kicker zx100.2 - ebay 80

sundown sa-8 x2 - refurb (forum) - 85 each (probably another 20 shipping) - total ~200

speakers - im thinking sls 6.5 and Fountek FR88EX 3" fullrange - 150

total - 770, leaving 230 for deadening, wiring (already have some power wire for big 3)

sub amp already bought - approximately 1k @ 2ohm, 1.5k @ 1ohm... probably run 2 sa-8's at 2ohm to leave room to add another later if he likes.

fucking sentra 80amp alt and probably a tiny battery upfront so running more then 1k probably wont go well. reason for the 8's is that he doesn't want a big box in the trunk like he had with his L7 15".

probably could do better on the front stage amps. not sure about speaker selection either... i've done sls 8 and peerless 3 and that sounded pretty decent. gotta take some measurements of the door but im definitely not getting some sls 8's in there lol. maybe dayton mids, they are a bit shallower iirc.

This is a good list for the price. Great product research. Build log coming?

Don't be sorry, be happy. Makes WAY more sense. :) :) :)

I like pretty much everything...except if you have the space, why not a single sub with more cone area. The 8 boner I don't understand unless of course it is for space reasons. Generically speaking a larger cone is always better. And that was generic as space is the dependent factor. This is coming from a guy who had a sealed 8 in his truck and had plenty of bass, I just didn't need more, but with space (which I had, but I diverge) I'd choose a bigger cone area always. Obviously two gives you some of that, but also changes the box. Sort of like buying two small pizzas or one medium. When you do the math usually the bigger one wins. As for the divergence, I wanted the 8 for a longer term project in doors, so thought lets give it a shot.

ill be doing a log for his car and i have to post my A pillar pictures soon as well.

ohya, forgot to say we're not ordering for another few weeks.

i wasn't sure where to go with the sub. he doesn't want a big sub again so i was thinking a 10" fi bl but thats out of the price range. i could probably do a single ported 12 but i really need to see how much space he will give me. budget would be about 250 max for sub(s), probably looking used but i'd like to come up with some new options as well. any idea's? <cough> icon <cough>

edit: was considering the new ssd if they are still coming out too. wish mach 5 still made some ixl 10's or 12's.

anyone got a better option on the amps? i was looking at just a kicker 350.4 (refurbs as low as 130) but i thought more power on the midbass would be worth it. audioclinic has a us acoustics 2080 and 2150 for a little cheaper. i only choose the kickers because thats what i run haha. ill probably do a false floor to hid these amps so its not a beauty contest.

Sean, do you use red sauce on your pizza or the more traditional way with just tomatoes?

Depends on how you define red sauce. Mine would consist of Italian canned tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil and salt. Sometimes mixed on the crust, sometimes mixed ahead.

I normally put some San Marzano tomatoes, a little diced mirepoix, olive oil and salt under a broiler, deglaze with a splash of vodka (or wine or gin), puree in a blender, adding herbs, salt and pepper as necessary.

If I cook it, I'd do similar but forego the carrots & celery. I prefer a raw sauce to cooked though. Comes together differently though because I have roasted tomatoes in my freezer so I just make them in a pan and cook the sauce because the roasting already been done.

I agree. I think too many people tend to discount, or not consider, the advantages a larger sub provides. First, it will be more efficiently linear. It does not have to travel as far to produce and frequencies compared to it's smaller brethren, as it moves more air within it's stroke. This keeps the coil in it's gap more, as well as keeping the suspension more within it's linear range. Just ensure a fairly low inductance value and you will be good.

A couple things. Grill or oven, it takes 45 minutes to heat up the stone. Your stone also better be at least an inch thick otherwise it is pretty useless anyways. (cheap slate landscaping tiles ftw, btw). 550F in an oven will almost do it right, but if your oven won't go there and it isn't a new computer controlled one just put the stone in, get the oven hot for 30min at 500, then turn the oven to self clean and wait 15 minutes and then cook your pizza. It'll be hot enough then :)

If you already have it and its thick and heavy it should work just fine. If you don't already own one don't waste your money just go get a thick piece of slate like Sean suggested, far cheaper and does the job just fine.

An inch? Well, there's the issue right there. Stone is 1/2 inch, if that :roflmao: I guess an extra half an inch wouldn't hurt

One thing that wasn't mentioned: when you knead with the dough hook, put your mixer to 5 or 6. First batch I made I only used low speed, didn't do shit even after 20 minutes. Just said fuck it, made another batch. Flour is cheap, after all
