I need to take a picture with it in the 4Runner... then put it in for sale. :/

If it sells I'll gladly make another one tho. I'm looking into making boxes for people, but I'm lazy as fuhhhh.

What year 4runner? I have an 05.

It's a '91

Getting another one(older) or the 05?

No I get the 05 and she might end up with a Lexus IS350 not sure yet.

I doub't I've had "real" Japanese, other than sushi.

Which is something that they rarely eat in Japan. :) Once a month perhaps.

Closest thing I can get local.

We were planning a trip this fall back to Japan, but are waiting to see what goes on.

What about:

Maki Yaki

Okinawa II

Tokyo Diner

Wegmans

Fuji & Jade Garden

And if those are too far, http://www.famwok.com/fwjm.html , doesn't look like the Japanese menu has all that many options but I could surely order a variety of things off their menu.

much different ichiban from the local joint.

Different logo indeed. Eaten at a few different Ichibans related to ours and never been impressed. Menu looks the same, but perhaps the food is much better. Ignore my other post, I thought it was the chain you were going to :)

The family wok is a newer one and we ate there last week. Good food!

You're ichi looks more cost effective.

I have spent many weeks in Japan and know what it should taste like and this place gets it close enough.

Traveling for work I pay nothing, just use the card. :)

Ah, sweet. I love Japan and in particular on someone elses dime

Is there anything local that's awesome Sean?

Close to you, I'd probably go hit Sakura in St. Paul. Started by a chef that Kikugawa flew over out of sushi school that never went home after his apprenticeship here. Pretty authentic and good. The Saji Ya is more than acceptable as well and just off Grand. Other than that the Fuji Ya off Lake in Mpls is great as well. Kikugawa used to be, went down hill, and supposedly has climbed back up but I haven't been there in more than 10 years. Amusingly it was our first sushi restaurant in Minny and my Uncle is the one that filled/helped/negotiated with the Japanese on that whole mall. Used to get comped stuff there like crazy.

Fuck, then go to Coastal, grab 3 oz of 4 different fish they recommend from today's sashimi choices and then go home and have chirashi.
