Got my bike tuned up for tomorrow. I've noticed that as I've ridden, I am more and more comfortable with the seat higher.

And the bars lower :)

I did rotate them forward. The only way I could make mine lower would be to turn the handle bar stem upside down. Then I would be reallll low

Is your back at more or less than 45 degrees?

Will take a pic/ video to check

According to the link I just posted I need a longer reach as I am always moving back on my seet (I think that my frame is a size too small). Going to see how much of this fitting I can do by myself

http://www.jimlangley.net/crank/bikefit.html

Found this and it seems really good

Except that bike doesn't fit him, lol. Some of the advice is good.

Level seats are rarely comfortable, you should have yours at an angle that works for you. Amusingly on my mountain bike this is pointing down but on my road bike it points up. Both slight.

Cleat position is huge. Followed by forward/backward seat position.

That guy is not riding on his hoops which is what they are for and is already bent over really far. The bike frame he is on is way too small. Amusing as it is smaller on him than mine is on me and mine is also too small. My problem is any bigger and it requires a custom, but I compensate by riding the hoods. I really wish I could ride the drops :(

Don't assume it is the reach, could easily be that your seat is just too far forward. First cleats, then approximate seat height, then position of seat, then seat angle, then height and then reposition. All factors affect all positions.

Droid camera blows....

Optics are crap on all pocket phones, can't get around them either. Sucks that technology can't be leapfrogged.

You skinny bastard!

lol

Really nice looking bike. I know nothing about road bikes and only slightly more than nothing about MT bikes.

Any chance to get into some spandex for me is a win win though

:D

..I should probably be sleeping resting for the int in the AM.

Suit looks fucking epic though. Had to get a belt though. Forgot to add in the suspender buttons.

I also found out flosheim makes wides. WINNER. I got a pair of comfy daily sheepskin slip-on shoes for daily awesomeness and a pair of hot buttered sexy promotion getting kicks.

I'd be higher but am working on polishing the resume. its a lot of fucking work.

Are you looking or just keeping everyhting current to know your value?

Out of context my post looks rather funny. Referring to post count, lol.

Recruiter was pushing me to apply for a job he had.

I have a friend who is a head hunter who teases me about jobs I could be doing, so I understand. :)

Any chance of pictures of this sexy madness? ;)

Good luck Matt!

Anyone know randomly who my idle would be running extremely high when in park or neutral?

It's never happened before like this, but as soon as I fixed the loose gear selection arm on the tree Gertrude is revved way up in park.

I have an error code but I think it's still just the O2 sensor and it's related to the hole in my exhaust that I can't find but can definately hear.

Go under the car, have somebody cover the exhaust a couple seconds and listen. That's how I helped somebody find an exhaust leak. A bit difficult if it's at the headers...

What idiots...

The police officers were going round just watching and waiting.

Does anything happen because I'm not wasting my time

Tractor goes round and round, hits one car and then hits light pole and stops.

Alright. Here is a pic of me on the bike. According to my phone the ledge behind me is 42 degrees

http://img132.images...1222h28m47.png/

And another after a handle bar drop and the seat positioned a bit further back

http://img857.images...1223h21m35.png/

Your frame is one or two sizes too small. You should shoot your LBS. :(

Your seat is still too low and by an inch or two. Maybe more. Raise it until your knees lock and then lower it until you feel them relax. If you are short of knee flexibility you may have to do that in steps.

You should ride in your drops as much as possible, set your bike up there, and take pictures there. Your bars actually probably need to come up.

Take another pic with your pedals level. You look scooched forward to me, but that might be due to the small frame.

Your LBS may have fit your top tube as it looks not terrible, but perhaps Trek geometry isn't for your body.

You are going to have to be like me and ride the hoods probably, but I am curious to see how bad it is on the drops.

A good starting point is having your bars at the same height as your seat....but that doesn't mean you can lower your seat. Then the more you ride the more you can lower them.
