YAY, I just bought a Canon S90. B-stock but with 12 month warranty and it was half the new price.

I've heard good things about those. :)

Meh, VGA vids. :P

Eff vids. I think I took 3 or 4 with my old camera in 5 years of use.

And now I have to go tutor some kid at math.

Really sucks not being able to focus 8 hours on one single thing. Go there, do this, do that, come back, go there again. By nightfall I realize almost nothing was accomplished.

I think it would be relaxing to start wrapping the A and C-pillars on the black and white install :)

Ah, pics, my camera sort of lives...easy to tell the quality SUCKS now...

Bag'o'lens and that's just the tip of the iceberg

3x3 for this prototype...

Shallow !

Those look like thick glass reflectors! How much light do they loose through the silver coating?

Plastic. And no silver coating. Haven't checked for light loss through the sides.

I meant silver by color not element sorry I should have asked bleed through reflective surface. What LED's are you useing and what driver?

These are some 3w ones from ebay. I have plenty of color temperature options when I need to buy large quantities.

The driver is my own design :D

although there are no t/s specs yet, he mentioned they have high efficiency so the 100.4 should be fine to power them. also, the 100.4 will do more then 50 @ 8 ohms..

At the same time he referenced a decrease in efficiency to allow it to play lower. Still should be more than a "normal" driver.

missed that.. "pro 8" is a bit misleading maybe

Tigers are in town! I'll be listening on the radio during work. How does the Orioles look the year? Love the Showalter hiring last year.

denim, where are these new icons at? haha

id love to pick one up for my bro's install. link link

btw, m5 i talked to my bro and i cant get any used equipment :(, any advice on the hu?

He has a used equipment budget, so either budget or expectations need to change.

As for new headunits, I don't know of any that won't soak his budget :(

the budget cant go up so i think the goal is to spend as much of the budget as "wisely" as possible... what do you think of a slightly ghetto 3" wideband and midbass option? the 3inch would have to play down to about 250 to use that kenwood deck i mentioned.. otherwise i would have to hpf the 3" and lowpass the midbass at the amp.

edit: given the low processing ability of the deck i doubt this is the best idea..

maybe it would be best to scratch active off the list and look to a passive option.

To go active it's much less expencive to do a good job. A well built crossover will be quite a few $$$$, and it won't be as functional as an active set up. Ultimately you will spend more active to get less results.

How about keeping the stock headunit?

Adrian I'm gonna come to you when I need some drivers for high output LED drivers.

I can't wait to see your prototype results.

Got some pretty intense thunder rolling here. The house is vibrating from it.

I know. I would love to have a few of those on the truck.

Use a couple floody reflectors/lenses and then a couple pencil beams.

FTMFW.

SST 50's are half the price though.... so that might be a better option.

I thought you were using them in the house.

A warmer HID would be more ideal in color, but price + low current draw + no ballast to worry about + more durrable with vibration = awesome.
