Unless you think you can find a 1080p Panasonic plasma in the 50-60" range for less than four figures?

<---Doesn't electronics shop enough...does it show?

Does it have to be a Panny?

No idea, done shopping myself just surprised that prices are the same as they were in 2007

. . . And the only difference I see in plasmas is the contrast ratio has gone up and I don't think you can even tell a difference. My 4 year old Samsung looks as good as any new plasma, and even at 50" and 5' from the TV, I can't distinguish a difference between 720 and 1080.

However, with my connection at the local auto parts store our parts are all dealer price and sometimes they are considered "returns" and are free.

Which is why I told them to jump on the deal. Granted, view distance is 11', but again, this is for my parents; they couldn't give two shits whether or not its 1080p :roflmao:

Ryan1, I'm back to rust removal...

Thoughts on using this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/SPEED-BLASTER-Hand-Held-SANDBLASTER-w-Sand-Recovery-Sys-/200581051589?pt=Sanders_Sandblasters&hash=item2eb38ff4c5

with an 8 gallon, 2hp compressor as the air source ? It's under the minimum recommended power....

I've found more rust spots at the rocker panel / floor panel seam and want to clean them. Nothing too aggressive for now.

That seems a bit expensive. I see them all over the place for $50, but I don't know about shipping them to you so that may up it some. Of course it may be more expensive since it has the attachments.

Check this place for some really good stuff: EASTWOOD

As for the compressor, what you really need to be concerned about is CFM. Tank size will only affect run time without the compressor kicking in. Compressor HP really only becomes a concern under load, which would only be an issue with constant use.

A blasting tool will generally consume quite a bit of air, so try to make sure you have enough CFM to be at or above the tool's rating. Most people just look at the compressor/motor size and tank capacity. Then when they get home and want to use their tools, they get mad when their 80 gallon two stage compressor won't remove simple nuts or keep up with the air supply needed for a sander.

I don't know how bad it is, but if you just want to clean it quickly and on the cheap, you can use a simple wire brush and a rust converting compound. That's what I'm using on my Buick's rockers, but I will be selling the car, so I won't have to worry about it for the rest of the vehicle's life.

AT&T and Deutsche Telekom have entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of T-Mobile USA for $39 billion in cash and stocks. The combined customer base of this upcoming behemoth will be 130 million humans, though the agreed deal will have to pass the usual regulatory and closing hurdles before becoming complete. The two companies estimate it'll take them 12 months to get through all the bureaucracy -- if they get through, the proposed network merger will create a de facto GSM monopoly within the United States -- but we don't have to wait that long to start discussing life with only three major US carriers.

Sean ain't gonna like this one bit, nope nope nope

I'll have to check the CFM tomorrow.

The spots are small and just surface rust but I want to get them done right before they get worse.

So far I've found some good converting compounds too.

The media blaster still looks like a purchase that would find other uses though...

Eastwood has some nice blasters, now to see if they ship here :)

Thanks for the link !

Yeah, Eastwood is good and also a little expensive. I just noticed the Ebay link you posted was for TCP global. They are really good too and have a lot of stuff. Check their site as well.
