Sat down with the people at the registrar's office to make doubly sure I was going to graduate in December, and apparently I have enough course work to get an AA in General Studies at the end of the semester in addition to the AAS I'm getting in December. So basically I'll have three college degrees in six years, not counting that year I took trying to get a job...soooo, yay? :ughdunno: I could use more wall decorations, I guess

Just realized we are way past ROE on posts. I remember when that site flew right past us. It is funny how the forum user characteristics mirror the user buying characteristics.

yeah the college seems to be just throwing them at me; if I took just a couple of drafting courses I could also get an AAS in Engineering Design, for instance :roflmao:

They didn't have Japanese otherwise he'd have gotten 5 as he was already fluent before going to college.

My legs are actual tired from my ride today. First more than 20 miles jaunt on the new beast. Have to say I love it. Bottomed out one of the front shocks today which shocked the shit out of me and would have REALLY, REALLY hurt on my old sled. Darn thing stayed straight in the process which is amazing considering the right ski was on fine ground and the left in a HUGE hole.

Way more stability in the air as well which is comforting, but makes me more aggressive lol.

Of course riding half sick might be why I am tired, but damnit I can't let the snow disappear.

An investigation will be launched into allegations, which appear in this week’s Rolling Stone magazine, that Afghanistan-based US Army soldiers trained in psychological operations (PSY-OPS) were ordered by three-star general William Caldwell to manipulate US Senators and other VIPs into providing additional funding for the war effort.

Targeted visitors included Sens. John McCain, Joe Lieberman, Jack Reed, Al Franken and Carl Levin; Rep. Steve Israel of the House Appropriations Committee; and Adm. Mike Mullen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

According to whistleblower Lt. Colonel Michael Holmes, head of the Information Operations unit who spoke with Rolling Stone, when he and his unit refused to execute the potentially illegal order, they were “subjected to a campaign of retaliation.”

“My job in psy-ops is to play with people’s heads, to get the enemy to behave the way we want them to behave,” Holmes is quoted as saying. “I’m prohibited from doing that to our own people. When you ask me to try to use these skills on senators and congressman, you’re crossing a line.”

A spokesman for Caldwell released a statement saying the general “categorically denies the assertion that the command used an Information Operations Cell to influence Distinguished Visitors.” A military statement said a probe would be ordered but that “it would be inappropriate to comment any further at this time.”
