pretty sure half ton axles like the D44 would work just fine with an oil burner XJ

I was actually looking at Rockwells the other day. $500 for a rear Rockwell sounds like a steal :D

Ah, its new. That's why. Looks like a knock off and considering there is nothing proprietary about ceramic I don't see why that is a negative.

Its listed as out of stock at 440$, but everywhere else I find it, it is listed at 700$ for the same damn thing.

Other than that...I need to find a rear Dana 44 so I can get a good locker. Not worth putting money to lock the current rear axle.

Lincoln locker FTW.:P

I prefer Miller.

In that case mine would be a Dalex :P

They had two of them on the floor at my store.

The wife burnt the blender gears up grinding oreos and she had the nerve to try and sneek my frozen concoction maker. I put a stop to that real fast!

I put mine into thermal overload twice two weeks ago. Putting in a pound of veal, pork fat, pork, ice and 4oz of water wasn't so nice. :P I don't have a cuisinart though so how else could I make Weisswurst.

You guys need a Blendtec total blender

I actually don't see a problem with the firebox cracking... As long as you don't loose pieces it should work the exact same.

I'd like to see extra strength horizontally though, since that's how the case flexes most. Not that the 14bolt would flex much :P

The Razorback cover is 3/8" steel plate, so the ribs problably aren't necessary. The front is where I really need one of these, as the d60 is huge and I would hate to destroy its internals on a rock. Time for bigger tires. :)

It didn't look that thick from this angle :P

Theres a clip on youtube, some rednecks trashing a buggy with a D60 front, the amount of abuse it got was absurd.

I hope you are going for 37+ :P

There isn't a Rural King anywhere around me, for 450$ I would pick one up if I could find it.

If you want to run 44"+ tires, without breaking things, you can't go wrong with the Rockwells. Plus the top loader centers are killer for raising teh shaft.

At their regular price of 700$ I will just buy a BGE instead.

I would love to do some 39"-40" meats, but will need to re-gear at the same time, as I am only rocking 4.10's right now.

Today was productive, cleared the snow off a 500 yard dirt road, also leveled it a bit in the process. Easy $100 in the pocket

With my 29's I think the pumpkin would scrape everything. I know somebody with a custom buggy, some 500-odd ci v8, 54's and Rockwells. That thing is badass.

What's the biggest tires you feel comfortable running with 4.10's ?

And I can't figure out how 90% of the 4x4 owners here don't believe in re-gearing. 'OMG, you can't run 33's, you won't have power.' Idiots..that's what re-gearing is for. Some numbnutz even installed lower gears for extra 'wheel speed' and wondered why his Toyota was sluggish.

Yes that is for sure. Last I checked the BGE at the Reading glass outlet was just over 700.

35" tires tops with the 4.10's, and the enemic 2.1 low on the NP205. I would love to do a Lo-max kit on the tranfer case, makiing it 4.1 low. I would probably do 4.88's for the 39-40" range. I am not into rock crawling though, more just a trail rig. Although the trails here are very rocky with the occasional wall climb.

LMAO at the "sluggish" comment. :roflmao:

Why not just mold it in two pieces, would be alot cleaner.

This is the Brewpub across from my hotel tonght. I am thinking the Pandora's Bock sounds tasty, or maybe the Vanilla Porter.

Be happy you've got a 2.1:1 on the NP205, some smaller 4x4's have as little as 1.3:1 IIRC.

4:1 would work perfect for rocks.

I just learned how a diferential works.

Which type?

In general how the design works. I never understood the exact interaction of the gears. So I looked it up. It is so simple I just never understood.
