The wife burnt the blender gears up grinding oreos and she had the nerve to try and sneek my frozen concoction maker. I put a stop to that real fast!

I put mine into thermal overload twice two weeks ago. Putting in a pound of veal, pork fat, pork, ice and 4oz of water wasn't so nice. :P I don't have a cuisinart though so how else could I make Weisswurst.

played with the cuisinart some more today; not only does it spew powder through the top, but also at the bottom, where the blade assembly is bolted to the vessel...so yes this is a major POS...*sigh*

http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Coffee-IDS55-4-Grinder-White/dp/B00005OTXN/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296249387&sr=8-1

I got this one at Target (only $15 at target) and I put my stuff in there, grind, and shake it around and nothing ever spills. A lot of powder sticks to the top but I just turn the lid back and forth real quick and most of it falls into the basin. When I'm done I run some water in the lid and in the base, wipe it out, turn it upside down and done.

We had a cuisnart too did the same thing... The Mr.Coffee is good

Hmm any particular schools for Chemical Engineering?

I'm going Here for my first few years of schools to get rid of my electives since it's free.. but idk where after that..

I am not saying these 2 are the best, Penn State main and Ohio State are 2 of the schools we visit for interns.

some schools in Pa, like bloomsburg university (where i go) or most of the pennstate satellite campuses, have 3 + 2 programs with pennstate for their engineering degrees. this apply for some of the engineering degrees but not all of them (i dont think you can do this with say aerospace or mechanical anymore). i believe them might have renamed this something like dual degree. essentially you get take 3 years at a satellite campus and get a BA in physics then go to PSU main campus for the engineering degree of your choice. the only real requirement are certain gpa to be able to transfer on to main campus.

i was a mechanical engineering 3+2 major but couldnt keep the 3.5 gpa. i also lost interest in the degree haha. mechanical and aerospace were the only 2 that required a 3.5 while the rest, including electrical and i believe chemical engineering ,require a 3.0

We had and intern who was doing this last summer. Good kid and he is one I would like to hire when he is done getting his degree.

You have one of those bad ass blenders that will blend anything even body parts :)

I am the only person who is allowed to run my frozen concotion maker. If the wife wants another blender she can buy it.

Ah, its new. That's why. Looks like a knock off and considering there is nothing proprietary about ceramic I don't see why that is a negative.

+ it is almost half the price of a BGE. I will have to keep an eye out for these.

Had a slightly productive evening last night, cut very short by a sleeping toddler. Some glue work done though :)

Yup, they're basically a Chinese made BGE clone; played with a floor model at Lowe's a while back

I have not seen these are our Lowes, but will have to ask a friend who works there to see if they are going to get any this year.

Razor%20Back%2014%20Diff%20cover-250x250.jpg

I'd like to see extra strength horizontally though, since that's how the case flexes most. Not that the 14bolt would flex much :P

The Razorback cover is 3/8" steel plate, so the ribs problably aren't necessary. The front is where I really need one of these, as the d60 is huge and I would hate to destroy its internals on a rock. Time for bigger tires. :)

Quoted from the website, admiting that they are selling you junk.lol

<P style="MARGIN: 0px 20px">From a customer:

My firebox cracked. What should I do?

First of all let us start out with a photo of my firebox. See how it has broken into 3 pieces. This is how it has been for two and a half years. There is no reason to remove it from the egg very often, but I have pulled it out here to show you how completely broken it is, yet it works just as well as a brand new firebox:

crackedfbt.jpg

A cracked/broken firebox. Almost everyone has had their firebox crack and break. While this probably shouldn't be called "normal", it is actually normal. What we all have found is that the firebox will continue to work just fine when cracked or broken. Owners have used their Grills for several years with cracked and broken fireboxes, so there is nothing wrong with continuing to use yours.

You don't need a replacement firebox, as the current one will not cause any problems and will continue to work.

As I have already said, the cracked and broken fireboxes work perfectly well. It is important to note that today's fireboxes crack and break, but the DO NOT disintegrate or crumble to dust. Once they crack or break, and the stress is relieved, they will probably crack no more and break no more. We are working on a fire box with a slit so it can take the stress of expansion and contraction better. Well, guess what you have when your firebox cracks and breaks? A multi-part firebox! Once your firebox looks like mine, it will probably provide good service for the rest of your life.

I agree, but for all the more I would use it it may work well for me. I will have to see.

After seeing j's post I may think twice.
