Drinking the Crown Black on ice tonight.:D

Good choice...

I'm more into whiskey then i've ever been.. I really like the taste of crown black... what are some other whiskeys like it around the price range say ~25$/ fifth

my main method of consumption is usually Whiskey/7up...

not as sweet. but much much better.

Have you ever tryed Wild Turkey?

I'm a whiskey noob.. tried Jack daniels.. thought the shit tasted like cough syrup IMO

Jack is like gut rot to me.

Jack is fucking terrible.

As for comparable to crown for $25? Good luck. Ha!

haha... okay sean.. how about AROUND 30... less than 40?

Anybody have experience with IR gun style thermometers ?

I use several all the time at work. The cheaper ones won't be accurate at distance and the "better" ones will be more accurate and have the ability to do fun things like take water temps through pipes. MEasurement range will also be limited with the cheaper units.

I use this for motor temps.

And this for everything else.

Hot dang, a bit rich for my blood

I'll keep scavenging ebay auctions for some good deals. Already found a german made thermometer, fingers crossed it won't go for very much:)

That's a bit better?

"SymbiLink™ components convert a standard unbalanced audio

signal into the fully balanced domain usually reserved for expensive

professional audio equipment found in recording studios or at your local

concert venue. After this conversion is made, the audio cabling becomes

virtually immune to electrical interference in the surrounding environment

and is much less susceptible to signal degradation over long cable runs. It is

for this reason that balanced signal cables are common in professional or

industrial applications. ZAPCO has made this technology available for your

car. ZAPCO engineers also discovered that the pulsating D.C. current in the

automobile chassis and amplifier power wiring caused a significant amount

of low frequency distortion. ZAPCO's balanced SymbiLink™ technology

completely eliminates this distortion."

$300 on ebay, used...hopefully the seller will accept a deal, since the auction ended without buyers.

Balanced transmission is widely used in networking (my networking exam was yesterday).

The amplitude of the signal will be the potential between 2 wires. For instance, if you want to send 5v on an RCA, you will have "0V" on the jacket and 5v on the tip. Interference will change the signal.

In a balanced connection, you would have 2.5V on one wire and -2.5v on the other wire. That means that no matter what interference you have in the car, the voltage difference between the 2 wires will almost always be the same.

But I want 150w / channel first and foremost

Some claim it helps.

I have the same option on my 750.2 but that's on sub duty so I believe it won't make much of a difference.

What do you want to measure?

Basic stuff around the house.

Sub coil when testing, amp temperature, radiator inlet/outlet, house heater temperatures. So nothing fancy. 2% accuracy is way plenty. Any cheap options that can do the trick ?

Spatial accuracy is what you pay for. A cheap unit will do what you need so far. :) Generically speaking I'd recommend Thermoworks, but depending on your constraints there may be other options.

It seems at the drop of a snow flake school is delayed. I remember when I was in school it seemed we never had delays or even snow days. When I ask the question why, I was told road conditions were the main reason. Like our roads get that bad.

I can tell you of a couple of times our bus got stuck in the snow and myself and cousins would get out and push the bus until it was able to get traction. Hell there were even times when we had to walk back to the farm and bring the tractor to pull the bus. I guess people today see thing very different than we did.

I remember the bus was late to pick my bother and I up a couple of times since it couldn't even make it up the hill we lived on.

Everybody is going soft and losing common sense, that's the reason a small snow closes everything down.
