No steak that is aged and cooked extremely perfectly should ever need sauce.

Nope; I rather like mine rolled in cracked pepper and a pat of truffle butter on top, though...mmm...

Curious where you buy your truffles. Everywhere I try here they are redickufuckingly expensive. I am out of the ones I picked up in Europe and your comment made me want a refill. Jerk.

:roflmao:

I don't buy truffles, silly. There's a couple of restaurants in Houston that serve dry aged Prime steak with pats of truffle butter on top. Last one I had was from Brennan's and I almost came right there at the dinner table :roflmao:

Crap. :( Was hoping you had a hookup. I do need a truffle slicer though :P

I have never had a truffle in any form. Ever.

I caught up now....

And vacation rocks. I may be able to deal with a few more months of work.

Really.... i only need one more year until I'm fully vested and then I won't give a damn if I leave my company or not.

So I called DC Power this morning about the broken mount. I called them out on them KNOWING about the weak case design based on the FACT that the one's pictured on their web site are redesigned.

Needless to say the guy just said sent it in and we will replace it with the new design of case.

Fucktards are just wasting my time now, Bc I have to re-re-install my factory alt and re-re-mail this shit back. FUCK.

I have a CS-144 cased 200 amp Powermaster on my blazer thats coming up on 10 years old, which I promise has twice the torque being applied, and has NEVER broke.

/rant

wtf...and with the new case, are they 100% sure it will not happen again ?

One of the tires on the Jeep is losing air, very very slowly, only started to do it after I aired down when going off-road. Took it to the tire shop, they couldn't find any leaks. Any ideas as to what it can be ? Bad valve ? Small puncture ? Cracked rim ?

find a bucket and dunk it, or pour bubble blowing juice on it. Find the leak pretty quick that way.

It was completely under water at the tire shop. No bubbles.

Oh well, it barely lost any air in 3 days. Really weird.

Well I checked in with someone who knows someone who says that said restaurants import their truffles directly from European farmers

Ha. Perhaps their distributor does. They are sold here in town, just spendy. I bought a jar in Italy for $8 and the same in town here is about $50.

Turkey bacon wrapped, BBQ shrimp.

That looks disgusting. I do not like shrimp though.

I thought you were going to ask where on the Turkey the bacon comes from? That is the only part that confuses me. Fat isn't bad for you, sugar is. Real bacon is teh yummy.

I think at times that we have the same parents yet somehow I got dropped off in over north Mpls when they exited incorrectly going home....

I was stuck in Moorhead, or REALLY North Minneapolis. Lol

corn chips in a blender = fun to watch

huh?

Put the vitamix into thermal shutdown last week. Something about ice cubes, ground veal, ground pork, and ground fat that it didn't like. :P

teh suck!

I almost purchased a food service vitamix on a whim at the restaurant supply store. Only one speed though and the timer thing looked like it would piss me off.

And they are the same as the non-food service version but with a shorter warranty.

Made porterhouse veal steaks last night as well. A little overdone at only rare, but with the w pregnant I didn't want to scare her. Plus at 15F the grill needed more time to preheat if I wanted a finish and still raw in the inside.

I've never had a veal steak like that. When having veal can you cook it less and still get out as much flavor from the bone/fat or is it more deicate so you cook it less than regular steak?

I like my porterhouse usually just above rare. At shitty restaurant I order rare but at home I'll cook my porterhouse/tbone a bit more to get some of the char/bone flavor.

No fat means less cooking ALWAYS. :)

Good analogy. Same cow, one ribeye one tenderloin. No matter who you are you better cook that tenderloin less as it will still fit your tastes better. And no, sight is not a taste so color doesn't matter.

In fact I don't like my ribeye's rare, but mid-rare. Of course using culinary definitions where rare = cool center, ie not warm. Ribeyes need to be warmed, albeit barely. Slow cook to penetrate so it is even with a hot sear on the outer flesh.

Fuck, you are making me hungry.

My last tire that was doing this had a small split where the stem go's through the rim, only leaked when bent. Otherwise I vote its gotta be the valve. I assume you checked that there is nothing jammed in the bead?

You guys aren't old enough. That looks like a method to deal with fucking nose hair.

Plucking seems the less painful method out of the two.

You haven't plucked nose hair then.

Nose hair trimmer FTW.

What's the whole story?

I bought and installed the 250XP in april last year. The case broke the first time in oct, then again last week. both time's in the same place. The rest of the story is that the case design is poor, compounded by the fact that their bracket system is inadequate at holding the alternator stationary. All this on top of the fact that they don't ask customer's about what could be improved to further their R&D. Fail.

No guarantee. I can get it replaced free for another year, by then either them or I will have improved on the bracket.

Mark is at CES right now, and I am again stuck here. I am so fucking sick of not being able to travel. Good news is, I have already begun the process to fix that.

Aaron, if you want to go next year I'll make a pact and split a room with ya. I've been wishin' and hopin' and dreaming to go to CES for years.

I'm so down...

SO, I ruined the Reggiano cheese sauce. I don't know what I did or didn't do. I used half and half for teh cream, and may have cooked it too long. I cooked it on the lowest temp posible.

everything blended nice at first and then turned to rubber. I will admit I cooked it longer than I wanted/needed bc the noodles weren't ready. Was it to much/ to little cream? wrong cream? over cooked? What do you guy's think I did wrong?:ughdunno:
