Just had the realization that I have new ovens and am hosting Thanksgiving. I don't really want to roast a practice bird, but also want no semblance of a failure either.

And Matt, if you know where I can buy nice Heritage birds that aren't $8-10/lb please let me know. I almost shit when I saw what they were up to.

Just saw your note that it was for me :P *blushes*

haha.. Damn you'e just a tall man.. sheesn i thought my dad was tall.. he's like 6'5". Our explorer fits him perfectly.. you may have to go to a much larger car.

I agree the Caddy has come a long way. Personally i like the looks of the caddy.

By size i think they meant the outside, length and width of the cars..

If i could own them it'd be a toss up. I'm partial to american cars.. due to My Grandfather working at ford for so long.

I'd choose the CTS-V.. but i'm about 7 inches shorter than you..

Drive them both you will change your mind. Basing your opinion on anything else makes no sense.

That is because you've never had one done right. BIG pieces of meat should always be cooked slowly. Frying doesn't do that. And yes an oven can yield skin that is equal to that of a fried bird, but it isn't trivial to get right unlike the deep fryer.

You've perhaps seen those oil less deep fryers? Guess what they really do. lol.

Don't get me wrong, the skin should be delectable as it IS the best part of the animal.

As with all birds, except ones of course that you can eat the liver raw from. Then the liver is BY FAR the best part. YUMMY.

I know what they meant, but obviously they suck at comparing cars. :(

Very true, I'm just basing my opinion off of looks. Not in the market for a new car.. but surprised that something american made is competing with the M5 which is supposed to be stellar.

But in the end.. Until i have a kid i won't be needing a 4 door beast.

Although i'm lusting for a bigger car.. I like the looks of the Chevy Avalanche.. but still i'm happy with the 11' stang

Not really competing. The M5 is from 2005 and being replaced this year. The CTS-V from 2009. 4 years is a really long time in the car industry.

That and the Caddy looks like GM shit. Perhaps you have to be under 25 to like the way it looks. The dumb part is that it doesn't even look modern, just shitty. I will give them huge props to the improvements in the interior though. SO MUCH FUCKING BETTER than the last generation.

Well my family typically fries smaller birds, no gigantic birds for frying. We typically have two Turkeys one fried and one baked. It's not that i hate baked birds.. it tends to be kinda dry, since the bird has been dropped in oil it tends to be slightly more moist.

As for Americans competing. IMO Ford did a MUCH better job in the early 90's with the SHO than Chevy is currently with the CTS-V. It held its own with the M5 in all aspects outside of the interior where it wasn't that bad for its time, but surely not a BM'er. Taking a leap at the very end of a model year really isn't an achievement, nailing it at the same time is

The oil has NOTHING to do with the moisture level. Proper cooking is what determines that. Tell them to stop overcooking the shit out of the one in the oven. Dry turkey sucks, but don't blame the cooking method instead blame the cook.

Oh, and anything over 6 lbs is a big piece of meat that WILL benefit from a slower cooking process. Hell 3lbs probably. So yes, even for chickens.

I know that is why I made the comment. I flat out don't understand. It is so ugly. Maybe even worse than the Skyline.

I like it's aggressive lines, same with the Lamborghi Murciélago, and the Gallardo

That is tempting too but wouldn't it be too much midbass ?

I have the mli's 3dB down from the Fostex's. But they mli's are 4ohm versus 8 on the SLS8.

Mid location kinda brings down my efficiency...

Forgot to ever mention that I got to fix most of my funky response problems. More volume did it. Still have an ugly ledge in front of the driver to remove, which will help even more.

Yes, I know.

Pretty funny for me to say too much midbass

However...I imagine with road noise an extra 3-5 db of midbass will be ok
