A new one cost roughly ~$300, i am the cheap lol

Also plan on buying a gun here in the next week or 2 :)

What gun?

I have been looking at Some Ruger's, Smith & Wesson, and some Taurus's.

Basically looking at Revolvers in the ~$500 range. Looking at some 357 mags, and 38 special + P

I really like mine. But then again, it was my first big "for me" purchase so it kinda has that stigma in my mind that it will be great. I don't think I had spent more than $100 on anything for myself before, much less over a grand (besides cars, but those don't count in my mind). I have the 47" version. I got it from Nebraska Furniture Mart and paid like 1100 for it a year ago. Maybe a lot, I know, but I was there buying all new furniture for my new apartment. They had several brands there, and IMO it was nearly as good as the comparable Samsung (which was the best) so it wasn't worth spending the additional $700 on it. Haven't had any issues with reliability.

About the only thing I don't like is the 120 hz. It gives everybody a bit of a blur around their bodies as they move, and it's very noticeable and quite distracting. I think it only happens while watching cable though, movies are fine. I'm not sure if that happens with all brands or not as I have not viewed any other TV with that feature. And when I first got it the picture was so real and clear that you felt like you were there, and it actually took away from the movie feeling. I've gotten used to it though. But overall, very satisfied with the purchase.

Apparently one of our servers went down at work yesterday afternoon. We couldn't get to some of our data. Well, apparently people worked on it all night and from what I heard were having trouble finding out which server was bad, so they shut them all down, and still couldn't find it. All day today we had no access to our servers, which hold every bit of data we have because we are discouraged from saving things to our hard drives "because they fail too often." Hmm, that one seems a bit ironic now, doesn't it. Anyways, so today everybody in the building was basically handcuffed. Not only could we not get to our reports, databasaes, etc., but our email was down, intranet, even internet. And of course for the last year there has been a huge push to go paperless to save money, streamline processing, etc., so everything that could be scanned has been, and now we couldn't get to it. We do still have the paper originals, of course. But also in the paperless push they put our timesheets online, and guess what, today was payday aka timesheet day. But nobody could fill them out since they're online. I just looked, and our webmail is still down, which means the servers are still down. They've been down for about 28 hours now. Thank goodness it is Friday, I couldn't sit through any more work days like this one.

Oh the perils of technology.

dem beats, was it you who suggested ~1g protein per pound of body weight for lifting? you sure that's right? based on what I saw at the store that equates to a ~1,200 calorie 64 ounce shake :peepwall:

Generally speaking, most 1080p tv's are always going to be good. I have a rebranded LG tv, not entirely sure of the model but it was rebranded as Insignia from Best Buy, Looks great, reliability so far is great.

Make sure your 1080p tv has lots of outputs/inputs that was the main decider on me getting my Insignia, a same priced Samsung (which i would of gotten had i had the money) had less outputs/inputs and also was like 5 inches smaller also it was 1080p ;) (You know size matters with Tv's) :captain:

I only need one HDMI input and one other local for plugging in shit like camera's.

For me, since I have a PS3 and direct tv it's always nice having more than you need, i would hate to have to switch HDMI's,

LED is actually good they're extremely light, power efficient, and THIN! My Tv is about 3-4x thicker than a comparable LED tv.

Man, my gf is awesome. She surprised me with a new Traeger today. It's an amazing gesture, I just feel bad in a way because I don't like people spending that much money on me. And I feel extra bad because my response to seeing it wasn't great because of that stance of mine, so she probably thinks I'm not appreciative and I feel like an a-hole.

Curious about picture quality , reliability, etc.

And have a much higher contrast ration, they are capable of a higher refresh speed.

I've heard that much as well, but I've also read that .6 to .9x body weight in protein is good enough also. Though I'm really not sure how much I intake. Let's see.

Cereal- 5g

16 oz. milk in the cereal- 16g

hard boiled egg- 6g

1/4 lb deli meat in lunch sandwich- ~22g

cheese on sandwich- 5g

Fruit & nut bar- 8g

protein shake w. milk- 30g

supper meat- ~40g

miscellaneous protein in other supper ingredients- 5g

That gets me to about 137g. I weigh 190, so that's a multiple of 0.72. Not bad. Could probably get a bit more.

I've always gone by the 1g to 1.5grams for every lb of body weight. Normal people need around 50grams a protein a day. I take in around 402 grams a day, from shakes and foods.

Right now I'm working at a vitamins/whole food store, and I'm looking for a little extra money on side. I'm just wondering if any of y'all are MECP certified, I was thinking about getting a job at best buy's install bay. We have a few stereo shops here, but I doubt they'd take me in without a Mecp sheet. I've been building boxes and doing installs for people for around 5 yrs now, I've just never done it in an actual shop. Main question is, if you are certified, how hard was the actual test? and if you work in a shop, did you just bring them pictures of your installs. Just curious at 1:30 in the morning.

It can't be difficult to get certified, I've seen some very stupid people working as installers at Best Buy.

It really isn't... Just money, some time, and some tests.

Ah alright, I assumed they couldn't be that hard. I really want to try this shop here that sells DD, as they have a lot of cool pictures of installs and the dude seemed pretty laid back. My buddy got a job in Houston at Innovative rides back when they were still around without being Mecp certified. I don't know if he knew the owner before though?

He made pretty decent money back when he did that, no where at what he does now building giant diesel engines, but enough to pay for his ford fusion and such.

I worked at a local shop for 2 years, the owner didn't care about being certified because he flat out told me it doesn't mean anything to him nowadays, he knew I could handle myself.

Switching receiver can solve that issue as well.

Light, power efficient, and thin have NOTHING to do with picture btw. Plasma ftmfw.
