I try to get sleep, but Gavin will not allow it. He woke me up this morning by pulling my armpit hair. OF course he found it so entertaining he's been trying to do it all morning. Just one weekend I would like to get 8 hours of sleep or at least sleep past 8AM.

By the looks of things I might switch to air-water intercooling in the Jeep. Any oppositions to air-water intercoolers ? Radiator, electric pump, control and plumbing aren't a problem. One of the main hurdles is getting the intercooler...

Oh yeah, main reason I want air-water is lower intake temperatures during 4x4 driving.

I know the feeling. Little Arthur had a nightmare at 5:20 this morning. So I went in and scooped him up so he could sleep next to me. Needless to say for the next 3 hours he kicked me in the kidneys and elbowed me in the nose a few times. But I don't care. :)

Wait a minute, your Jeep is boosted?

Anyways, I know with wheeling you won't have the constant air movement through a radiator, so installing an electric fan is a no-brainer, IMO, but only if it's needed.

I will not let Gavin in bed with me. I would love to cuddle with him every night, but I feel he needs to stay in his own bed. He still sleeps in his crib at his mom's house, but he has a big boy bed here. It gives him the freedom to get out when he wants, but I'm pretty strict and he doesn't get out of bed unless he absolutely needs to or he is having a fit, and when he does get out, I put him right back in it.

ugh wtf. I can't get the proper resolutions to show up on the laptop and I can't get the audio to install. I'm using the same HP disc and drivers off a flash drive that I used the last time I did this......

Good to know sensible parenting is still alive and well; far too much coddling and helicopter parenting these days, especially with some of the parents in my extended family :(

It has the viscous fan, which works good and pulls a lot of air. Just thinking about an improvement over the stock air-air intercooler. The fan shroud is formed so that it pulls air through the intercooler too.

The machinist finished the last aero port mold friday. Now I can build flares for 6, 8, 10 and 12 inch tube. Can't wait to test 8 inch flared vs 10 inch straight and 10 inch flared ports.

Port panel removable to compare all port sizes.

According to Automotive News, Ford CFO Lewis Booth claims that shutting down Mercury before the end of this year will cost the Oval roughly $500 million overall. Booth says Ford already took a $247 million charge in the first half of 2010 to cover the neglected marque's mercy killing.

The lion's share of the money being spent will go toward buying out 700 of the 1,700 Mercury dealers across the United States.

not exactly :P

It's pretty calm for an old diesel. No comparison to the TDI though.

BP knew about the Deepwater Horizon oil rig's safety risks a while ago. So, naturally, the "critical alarm system" that would've warned workers bad things are happening was intentionally disabled before the explosion that took down the rig.

The rig's chief electrician, Michael Williams, testified yesterday that the alarm system was "inhibited," its automaticness killed because managers "did not want people woken up at 3 a.m. with false alarms." It had to be turned on manually, as a result. It wasn't.

The alarm system failures are just part of a long list of problems and general neglect, the WSJ notes after reviewing a 60-page audit that still hasn't been made public: emergency power failures, despite warning signs the generators had problems; safety systems that might've prevented the catastrophe never kicked in; skipped tests and shoddy procedures.
