Score; I seem to have found a very similar version via Google.

Wish I could help you peng. I like bad general tso also.

Thanks :) I hate having to pay for General Tso's (and tikki masala for that matter) because it really is dead simple to make: soy sauce, rice wine, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic, ginger, green onions and chile peppers

I know you showed us that before, but it is really ridiculous. Unbelievable how fast he could get that on and off. How can you not want one.

Everytime he posts some costume pics I want to buy one. I start rationalizing the cost spread out over the next few years of halloweens....

I'm so bad. I love anything well made by someone with passion and I instantly want to give them money even if I don't care about what they are selling.

Separated at birth.

Like that move twins with arnie and davito only were both over 6'?

I had the same thought, you got girth I got height. Together we are teh big twins

You guys would fit right in with us. What are you going the month of October? We have lots of awesome costumes that you could wear. I learned not to rationaliz the cost because I never would buy anything.

Just realized we have a couple knives that we received as a wedding present. I never ever use them for anything, but since they came from the W's family they sit in a drawer. She uses the paring knife sometimes because it is dull. That gets a ride in the dishwasher.

She likes to use a dull knife?

Yes for things like cutting a banana into baby size pieces and other shit that is handheld. I don't know, I still use one that cuts.

fuck I seem to have lost my General Tso's recipe :(

anybody have a good one they'd like to share?

Never tried to make it, but I consider that Chinese as much as a Mexican considers Taco Bell authentic.

Mine has less than $20 in pine and a couple hours assembly at most.

I have to say I do not understand the relationship of Tikka Masala and General Tso's. In particular when there are 100's of Tikka Masala variations. Sort of like saying tomato chicken hot dish to an Indian...assuming you can translate hot dish.

Like I said, while I do love real/authentic Chinese, I am still a big whore for General Tso's. The same relationship exists for real/authentic Indian food and tikka masala.

Both tikka masala and General Tso's are so brain dead simple, however, I prefer to make them at home and save my eating out money for the real/authentic food.

tikka masala is classic and real indian food. There just are as many variations to is as there are for any single dish we have that is American x10.

I can't say that I've eaten General Tso's in at least 10 years so I have no idea what it tastes like. The local three chinese places I eat at surely don't have it on the menu.

What are you deep frying yours in?

Since I am asking, curious as to how you "tandoor" your chicken as well.

really? I was always told it was an English bastard dish, analogous to Mexican food and nachos...or in this case Chinese food and General Tso's

I wouldn't expect it to be; General Tso's was "invented" (I use the term loosely) in NYC back in the 70's. It's basically chopped chicken fritters coated with sauce

What are you deep frying yours in?

5 qt. cast iron dutch oven for the General Tso's fritters; stainless skillet for the sauce

I don't; usually just an ungodly hot charcoal grill. I know, I know, not authentic, but I didn't care, for the above stated reasons, since it got relatively close in taste. In light of recent news, I'll save myself the hassle from now on and just stick to the curry houses :P
