And you fucker, you made me want Sushi and considering Coastal takes to long to get to in rush hour that forces me to go out to eat. Much better deal to make it yourself, but I guess considering I eat out so little perhaps I shouldn't care.

I know what you mean. Coastal is like 5 or 6 blocks away. I can't deal with that!

:peepwall:

I pay someone to make it as I have no clue how.

It really isn't that hard to make Nigiri or rolls. Cutting the fish is the most difficult part, but even that isn't a big deal. Generally I prefer to just take cut sashimi and put it over a bowl of sushi rice. Make your own in each bite FTMFW. Quick, super easy, and healthy :)

Indeed the new 3 has a very disappointing interior, doesn't help that it is smaller than the older ones on the inside as well...for my size frame anyways.

My buddy is a eurotrash vehicle whore. He's the one who made me think about interior and the ford having nicer appointed insides. I was floored.

If I wanted a 3 I would get the turbo 6 instead. Less insurance and could be tuned up to be something special. Maybe not an M eater, but much less cost over all. Probably less gas too.

I am biased and still think the new 3 has a loser interior. I love the 5, but hate the 3. I realize they are similar, but the devils in the details and there are none in the 3. The ISF has a nicer interior and it is pretty lame (outside of the dual color seats which are fucking sweet)

My room mate has that phone, blows my I phone away speed wise.

That is what drives me nuts about those damn AT&T commercials!

On 2 seperate personal events I've had a buddy who owns an iphone use my Droid and say, "wow, your internet is so much faster"

which is amazing considering the iPhone has a faster processor than the Droid (600mhz to 550mhz) and "the fastest 3g coverage". I am obtaining a Mathematics degree but it doesn't take much education to realize that shit doesn't add up.

Speed < Quality :)

The Droid has two processors though doesn't it?

I agree. However I still stand by my statement that the cts-v is a short italian guy in a wife beater on steroids wearing a platinum cross, asking everyone if they want a glass shoved in their mouth.

Fix the grill and it would go a LONG way in improving that vehicle. I hate chrome chickenwire in almost every application.

you typically make home made sushi?

By the way, I'm cooking salmon tomorrow any recipes/tips (electric stove FWIW) [i say this like it a question but I fully expect a thorough response] :P

What are you having with it?

Biggest key with Salmon is to get a piece that is good enough to eat raw and then hardly cook it. I prefer mine completely raw, but that isn't so unusual for me. :P

Well i didn't get "sashimi" grade which was something like $11+ a pound, and the other "natural" salmon was priced similarly, so I got salmon that was $8 a pound :P

I was at HEB though so I'm sure that wasn't the best place to start in the first place

HEB usually has pretty good quality seafood; some of the bigger HEB's even have sushi made fresh daily on site

Tokyo was great tonight. I got an obe roll (spicy shrimp tempura topped with crab meat hot sauce and green onion), and a Kilaua roll (spicy crab meat, avacado, cream cheese, cooked with tempura batter, served with eel sauce).

Obe roll was good, I like the hot sauce and crab. The Kilaua roll is what I would call "americanized" because the outside is tempura for the crunchy fried taste and I'm sure the spicy crab isn't Grade A+. I was in a time crunch when ordering and the waitress suggested it, so I got it. Wish I would have went Philadelphia roll.

A friend of mine ordered a Dragon Roll (California roll topped with 6oz baked eel, sesame seeds, and eel sauce) and didn't like it so I got to eat most of it. Eel was not that great. Not sure how it is supposed to taste but it tasted like sardines a bit. came with some tuna on the side which was good

I also got some leftover cruch roll (Fried shrimp tempura, marinated crab meat, covered with crunchy tempura batter with masago, sesame seeds and eel sauce) Another "americanized" roll but it still taste good and was free, though I prefer rolls covered with fish but go figure they cost more :P

Washed it all down with 2 Kirin Ichibans. To top it all off I forgot my wallet so my friend covered me. (though I am paying him back, it still felt all free  )

Doesn't bother me, as long as it is good. I realize that living near the sea doesn't mean much.

Even non-sashimi grade doesn't need to be cooked all the way through. If you were unlucky and had a really shitty piece the parasites that could be in it die at 140F. Personally I buy mine from a fish monger or have it sent to me from someone I know catching it in Alaska. Both of which I will eat plain raw.

Actually more. Always amuses me when i am in California and they ask how I can eat the fish in MN. I then ask them what fish they eat and where it is caught locally. LOL. There is a difference though. Here we have a reliable source, in CA nothing is reliable. The fish at Coastal is better than anything I have had in CA ever.

All of those rolls are Americanized.
