Stress sucks and the worst part is sometimes you are not the one who realizes that you are stress out.

HA, HA now I think I know where you got your handle, I use to ride ArticCat M5. I rode the M7 after that but I'm 200 lbs so I liked the lower M5 more.

Nope. Never owned a ditch pickle. tongue.gif

I'm 220lbs, but like my stuff to last. Polaris all the way.

My avatar should be a dead giveaway on why my handle is M5...considering it is my car.

I hope thier sleds are better than thier 4wheelers, the sportsmans are junk.LOL

Ha Ha actually the RMK was my second pick back then, havent road in a few years.

I was closer to 250 then also, The m5 handled nice for my fat ass....

I got a 660 Grizzly now.....hold the fuck on.peepwall.gif

Is your Grizzly suffering any of the problems the class action is directed at?

Damn, I want to go ride now. :(

are u taking the new one on the ride?

Of course. Put 400mi on her this weekend. WAY happy. I'd be dead tired had I rode the old one. I am putting the old one up for sale pronto....well almost. I let the BIL drive her and the jackshaft bearing went out. Supposed to go around 2k and mine made it until 3.5k so I don't feel bad. Probably $15 and an hours worth of work so not a biggie, but it won't get done today.

My room mate has that phone, blows my I phone away speed wise.

That is what drives me nuts about those damn AT&T commercials!

On 2 seperate personal events I've had a buddy who owns an iphone use my Droid and say, "wow, your internet is so much faster"

which is amazing considering the iPhone has a faster processor than the Droid (600mhz to 550mhz) and "the fastest 3g coverage". I am obtaining a Mathematics degree but it doesn't take much education to realize that shit doesn't add up.

Hey guys, correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Assuming 100% driveline efficiency, an engine produces 14ft*lbs of torque that is transmitted through a 3.83:1 reduction then through a 9:1 reduction

14ft*lbs(3.83)(9)= 482.58ft*lbs to the output.

Reduction multiplies torque, correct? This is for our minibaja and that seems like a hell of a big torque number for a 10hp motor to put out. I assume it is correct because I'm sure if you dyno a vehicle in 1st gear it would have some ungodly torque numbers too.

On that note as well. How does the dyno compensate for a vehicle with different gear ratios in the rear end. I realize it changes what you put to the ground (I think...) but people almost always arbitrarily use %20 as the drivetrain loss but it seems that the same vehicle with a gear swap to lower ratio would generate higher torque at the wheels while the engine wouldn't be producing any more torque

but it seems that the same vehicle with a gear swap to lower ratio would generate higher torque at the wheels while the engine wouldn't be producing any more torque

correct; with proper gearing you can get away with less engine horsepower and still have great acceleration

take my E55 for instance: "only" 391 ft. lbs. torque from the engine, but with 3.59 first gear and 2.82 differential gear its able to send nearly 4,000 ft. lbs. to the tires (assuming 0% parasitic loss), and is able to have the acceleration rate of a sports car/muscle car

correct; with proper gearing you can get away with less engine horsepower and still have great acceleration

or, in the case of smaller cars, using a small engine and still obtaining a reasonable rate of acceleration and (usually) better fuel economy

MOTHERFUCKING DONE

:dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

:OhYeah:

And I agree, anything less than 36" doors is torture. We put 40" doors wherever they could fit (making room for a bigget door in a 2ft brick wall isn't easy).

I always soak my wood in whiskey or wine or some other hooch. I found an amazing way to get it done. I used gallon bags and squeeze out as much air as possible. It means I used WAY less hooch. like 80% less than trying to put it in a bowl or tray. and covering. They seamed more saturated in less time too.

Baffle + port walls, box for an Orion H2 12. And check out my uber cool work bench, I can barely work on anything bigger than the "box" in the pic

Thanks Aaron for the box specs :)

Are you talking about the post on CA? If so, I may be a little off, as it has been years. But from what I remember they loved a larger box. A little peakiness was dialed out but so was a little of the power handling.
