Time to shower then go to work. Been working in service all week, delivering stuff or helping old people with the fancy equipment. I love it when a salesman sells a harmony remote for the simplicity of system, and some people still can't use it!

I found a 99% acurate way to diagnose add/adhd type issues from a past co worker who used to watch teens in a group home.

If you drink a coffee or a caffinated soda, and then become tired before it wakes you up, or if you "need" cafeen to sleep. Same if it takes mega doses or empty stomach to make it work as a wake up formula.

I was a 2 mt dew before bed kinda guy my whole childhood.

Amusingly my wife bought a Pampered Chef stone at a party she went to a few years back right after I bought the C4. The first time I used it, it shattered in the pre-heating stage.

We've shattered one of those in the regular oven.

But as long as you can grind hard you can make it out ok.

My sob story isn't really that tough in the end, and even without guidance I can't blame anyone but myself.

I stopped being mad at mom and the system a long time ago. Just know if I have kids, I will know about those pitfalls and fight like a pitbull to get them every chance they can get without sheltering them from the world.

I stopped being mad at myself more recently. I now know I learned a lot. It's not where I wanted to be, but it made me hungy, and it made me motivated. I would say the cost for this experience was too high, but at least I was able to squeeze some blood from the proverbial rock.

I bet many of the guys here can be empathic to the pain of dumbing down to deal with JQ Public too. Plenty of brains on this site for sure.

Matt, damn straight. Use it as motivation not as a sobby regret mess. Nothing we can ever do about the past, but we can mold the future.

I'd like to learn how to use the oven, but meh I don't eat much out of it so I am not in a hurry.

Oven is almost as easy as scrambling eggs or grilling a steak

By oven I don't mean for roasting, braising, broiling. Those are no problem. The one that troubles me is baking. Why the fuck is a good croissant not something I know how to make. etc...

Croissants are a bitch to make properly; spread the dough thin, fold it upon itself, repeat ad nauseum; kind of like making a katana

croissant to Katana.

Me likey.

I think I would have gone for a filo type analogy, but I like you're too. Can't decapitate anone with filo dough.

Maybe ADD isn't a disorder, maybe it's evolution. It's just that too few of us have it so it's hard to comunicate to the rest without stimulants to slow us down.

LOL

:D

Word. I need to find a way to make decent money while going to school. I could take loans easily, but I just don't like the feeling of spending money whilst not earning it.

BONUS!!!

Only good part, your job is interesting, you can travel(gets old I'm sure), and I'm roughly certian that the income bracket is quite a bit higher.

Oh and you work a LOT harder too.

I remember my DM telling me on my 14th day in a row at my store

"Think of it as a chance to earn more comission, and be that much closer to getting taxed higher."

Jerk. I miss working for him. Lol

That's how my dad is, except he often works about five 11 hour days and a sixth 5 hour day. Plus for the last month he's been going out to my grandpa's farm for the second half of the 6th day and all of the 7th to harvest.

I decided a while ago that while I can appreciate and respect his work ethic, it is not the life I want. To me life is not all about work and money and more about relationships. I'd rather work my 40 hour weeks than 60 hour weeks for 1.5x the money (which is about the going rate in my industry). I'll work as hard as I can while I'm there, don't get me wrong. Just ask the operators of our Geoprobe how hard I push them when I'm the project manager and we're out in the field. I want to do the most sites out of anybody in our unit. But overall in life, I don't want work to take up most of it.

There is a time to make hay and a time not to. The spot I am in my career I can benefit a lot from putting in extra time. In a couple years it will no longer do me any good, until then I fire away. :)

Just managed to get my raise for next year, and it even shocked me. Company wide no raises, mine is nearly half my wives income. Well worth the extra hours if you ask me. On top of that, my boss just offered to eat the difference on the Cayenne Turbo to make it fit our parameters. :) Fucking Saweet!!

If I owned my own buisness and could get family in, or had a farm... I could work 12 hours or more 6-7 days a week. It's more about making what you do something you would want to do even if you didn't have to for money.

I'm not in that place now.
