I'm waiting on the new Core i9 to launch so the price of the Core i7 will come out of the stratosphere

also a job to pay for it

:P

And please put them in laptops so I can make work get me a new one

Mobile Core i7 processors are already in laptops as of this month, probably not going to see Core i9 mobile processors until Q3 2010 at the very least

Seen them before, but the co only buys Dell. Perhaps they do now too

*goes to look*

It is a great car, loads of fun if in good condition and not too worked over by a tuner.

Yeah there are a bunch with nitrous and all these upgrades to get it to 800hp. I don't really want that. Just something basic, with perhaps a few basic upgrades to get it to 400hp or so. It wouldn't take that much to get that little car moving. Though I'd need to sit in one to see if I would fit comfortably.

Having been around a few in the past, I would suggest aiming for a totally stock one. Just too many with people pushing them really hard. Unless you find a tweaked one and find a stock motor somewhere, but that is a slim chance.

Actually too many idiots who think they know what they are doing modify something without understanding what the hell they are doing.

That too.

16 cores? If so, I want one bad, that would be a super cruncher for sure.

I probably shouldn't be looking for an XC90 sport for her as the 19" tires are absurd. I really prefer the way the body is clad, perhaps I can get the dealer to swap rims with an all season equivalent although I hate that idea as well.

Don't know that I'd be towing a boat with that thing, but they are nice. You want to talk about a quiet ride. . . . They made one in Europe with a small V8. I'd like to get my hands on one of them and throw it in an AWD 500. Same platform. . .

Has a V8, another Ford/Yamaha amalgamation. 5000lb towing capacity to boot and with a 6/100k bumper to bumper your damn right I'll tow my boat with it :)

NO shit? Last I knew they were Euro-spec only. I'd like to know how they got that thing stiff enough to tow that weigh. I don't think you'll have to worry too much about the warranty. Surprisingly, as expensive as they can be to repair, insurance is really cheap for them. In comparison to their other European (read German) counterparts, they are really a bargain in all aspects.

I don't know if the XC90 has it, but all their cars have a waterfall type console/dash. IT's open behind and it really ties the dash into the rest of the car. I loved the interior of the C30s and S40/60s I drove last year.

I still would like an S60R.

The S40R that I reviewed for Momentum had that dash. Great little car that is often forgotten.

They made an R version of the 40??!!!

Hate the Supras BTW. Love the 300ZX and the 3000GT VR4s. Don't like the Stealths at all. too subtle.

never was a supra fan either. but love the 300ZX, 3000GT VR4 and Subaru WRX STI's as well :P

AWD Turbo cars =

The 3000GT VR4 was geared for 215 from the factory and is designed to be a highway cruiser. I love the shit out of the car but perpendicular mounted V6 is a little bit of a turn off. Also think that the leaking sunroof would suck, as well as all the little bells and whistles that seem to fail (dynamic spoiler, active suspension, and air dams, etc...)

But I like the look of the car for sure and feel like I would feel safe hauling ass down the highway

Where is best to get plane tickets?

Depends on from what airline, but using sidestep/kayak is the easiest to narrow things down. Note as all, they don't do SWest, JetBlue etc...

Just an FYI, if you see Surly

http://www.surlybrewing.com/index.php

Buy it. And yeah, it only comes in cans but don't worry about that. Everything they make is really good and I am not just saying that because they are local.

I've always equated the cans vs. bottles argument to the cork vs. non cork in the wine; don't know, don't care, so long as it tastes good

speaking of, my mom enjoyed a really tasty German Riesling Tuesday night and she's been scouring local vendors for it,

Oh and in case anyone is in the Houston area, definitely check out a Spec's Liquor store. Best chain store for all your liquor needs, including microbrews :D

I think freshness is the key, however, tasting metal isn't really possible unless the company you buy beer from uses a really cheap liner. All cans these days are lined to keep the product away from the metal. This is bottled here and probably only weeks ago so it really doesn't matter. Just like keg beer.

And if you aren't doing anything else, why not drive? If you are you only have to decide what is more worthwhile as "wasting" an hour aint' shit.
