Perco has been outlawed for a while. When I was doing fire and water restoration, the only thing we could use was mineral spirits. I know it's not the same industry, but the cleaning principle was the same and we had to abide by the same laws. Of course things may have changed again. I remember when you couldn't find Xylene anywhere thanks to the EPA, and now I see it everywhere.

I guess we closed 7 years ago, but there weren't even any Perc options at that point.

Okay Petroleum, but ineffective and the machines weren't available to use it well. Our Petroleum machines were from the late 30's and still operational when we closed.

what...that the downside of putting so much focus on non-violent crimes is finally becoming evident? I think it's fucking perfect personally.

Pulling over a driver, discovering said driver has no permit, then letting them off with a warning? I have a big problem with that. People like that are just as dangerous as any gang banger...

lmfao...how is driving without a license dangerous?

You're behind the wheel of over a ton and a half of vehicle going anywhere from 30 to 70 MPH and you have no way of proving you earned the privilege to do so? Big Problem. You're a hazard to everyone on the road. Go to jail, go directly to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Get a bicycle...

Its not hard people, the DMV gives them out to anyone (including illegals)...

Penguin I am not gonna say that there aren't risks but lets take a look at certain shit.................We have people who dive as bad or worse than Lindsey Lohan after a 6 day bender with Nicole Richie and DJ AM and they still get a license. I saw someone else mentioned (may of even been you Peng) about a license being a way to asses how mentally and physically stable you are. Try Arizona. Your license doesnt even expire till your 65 if you dont want it to. So yea thats safe, lets guarentee you are gonna be good till senior citizen. And then its one about 25 for another 10 years, and so on.

I know I harp on my job from time to time, but bro let me tell ya something. You wanna see shitty drivers go to Kuwait, go drive with some bored soldiers, or try and teach a 18 year old who only got his license 2 months ago how to drive a 15 foot tall truck thats about as long as an Explorer and a half (maybe 2) and have to teach him how to back up with no glass rearview mirro and only hand signals in his mirrors. That shit scares the living fuck out of you.

since when does a license mean you're not a driving hazard anyway?

a license in no way means you're a safe and competent driver, i definitely wasn't when I got mine, it just means I learned a handful's worth of info and passed their test (as well as drove 3 days for my track coach).

So if I happen to not be able to get a license because I failed to turn in tags to my xfire that i totaled and has been caught up in legal bullshit....which can happen in VA, you think that if i drive I should go to jail so you can pay to keep me there till i learn my lesson?

That's what they are designed to do; what they are designed to do and what they actually do are two completely different things. Sadly most states have set the bar to the lowest common denominator possible, as it seems to be the case in Arizona.

I can only imagine that crazy assed shit...most of the men in my family (both sides) served in the Armed Forces in some branch or another and my god the stories I have heard...soldiers are knucking futs! :lol2:

AZ is ridiculous as far as licensing goes. When you move here from another state, you don't need to take any test, they just give you an AZ license.

Well I don't deal with the regulations of the business as it's running, only if there is a spill. Which, I have seriously seen the groundwater under entire towns polluted to non-drinkability because of dry cleaners, and you'd be hard pressed to find a town without PCE in it. But not only is it a drinking water problem, but vapor intrusion into basements and things as well.

And in ND you can get a license when you are 14. 14 year olds are dangerous in ANY machinery.

thats my point simply illustrated. The liscence has nothing to do with competancy.

If it was the test would involve situations of handeling a vehicle in a what if type fation, and it wouldn't cost us as tax payers. It's revenue generating.

I got me a Huge fine once for that not knowing my liscence was suspended. Camera cop got me. That officer, the assistant DA, the judge, myself all wasted time with something so trivial. I will never be caught without one again (I hope). In my case I never knew I had a ticket however.

The drivers liscence provides nothing in the way of safety for those on the road.

I would like to say my first memory of driving was around 8 working the wheele.

probably 10 when I first was driving in controll of the vehicle and alone by 12.

I didn't get a liscence untill I was 18 though.
