Why does ballys have to be such a bitch, to get any paperwork. I'm trying to transfering it, as I don't need it anymore since I got Tech's rec. They tell me to call the main office number, and of course no options to transfer.

They will always favor the intake side. Look at any vehicle and the intake valves will always be larger and or more.

called merchant tire to see if they could mount/balance my tires. I have no real experience in this area as all my old tires didn't really matter and wal-mart worked just fine. Merchant claims they can do it but the guy on the phone did not sound happy to hear the sizes. Any advice from people who have had larger low profile tires mounted?

Most of the national chains should have the proper equipment to do it and do it right. Whatever you do, check them before they put them back on the vehicle. They have a bad of habit of just throwing the tire on there and then weighting it where needed instead of trying to remount the tire in a better position. Ideally, you want the least amount of weights needed and spaced out instead of in one area. Large wheels and tires are usually not an issue, diameter-wise; it's usually the extreme widths that cause them fits.

My old man's '90 GT has 10.5" tires on the rear and I went to 3 different places and broke 3 machines until I gave in and had to take it to Tire Rack.

That's true too, didn't think about the balancing aspect. Especially if you only put weights on the inside.

I haven't got a clue. The only machine I am familiar with was the one I used at my dad's old shop and it was antiquated in comparison.

Watched "Unbreakable" last night. It's a good enough movie. Pretty original idea, it was a refreshing twist and look at that kind of movie (won't give it away). It was really slow though, and pretty quiet. Kind of a slow, dark, underscored movie.

My nephew has OI. He just broke his leg for the 3rd time in 8 months yesterday. I hate that fucking disease. All the boy wants to do is play baseball and he can barely even walk.

Man that would be awful. I feel bad for your nephew. I consider myself lucky as I've never broken a bone.

Not around here being as how they get most of their tires from Tire Rack. It is nice to have their corporate HQ local. MY old man gets them at dealer cost so I save quite a bit more than what they have listed.

Best part is their track days. They have a dedicated test track at their facility and every once in a while it's open to the public.

And about the solder issues, I always used to use an iron and set it down right outside the door on the side I was working on. My dumbass always seemed to place my foot on it and before you know it, right through my sandals and into my foot. I have 3 scars from that bastard. Now I just use my resistance station.

I've plumbed in a water tank, float valve, pump, filter, chiller, hot water heater, mixing solenoids, associated electrical, spliced into existing water lines, hung the shelf (one big SOB), and helped build fiberglass shelves. Its been the main project for the last week and a half. It would be done sooner if I wouldn't have little things interrupt me throughout the day.

The rims on the Bm'er were bought by Discount from Tire Rack and they still beat their package price by more than $50. You have to ask though, not their standard price. They negotiate which makes it fun

I have the itch for a small mono block, or two channel that will do 250 at 8 ohm mono, or maybe some random old SoundStream 2 channel that will do 2ohm mono. Don't mind me, just thinking out loud for fun.
