I'm oficially a believer. Glue joint is stronger than the mdf itself :

It's quite ironic since the MDF is essentially sawdust bonded with adhesive.. You'd think it would be stronger due to the heat and pressure used in the manufacturing process.

You could have borrowed my grill :P

Hell, I would have had to go find a whole damn hog to stick on there rather than three sides of ribs. :P

Picked up a new amp yesturday. Sony ES XM-3546. Now I can run my RF 800a2 on the brahma!

Its a 1 ohm stable 4 channel but I will just end up bridging it to get 100 watts for my fronts!

I saw the ES logo and I grabbed it. Suppose to be Sonys only quality stuff.

Took apart the old burp box and had to use a bfh after the screws were out.

Next step, proving that resin on mdf is more brittle than just mdf.

I will take moar pictures of the box dismantling aftermath. The mdf exfoliated like crazy on some of the joints. I was pressed with school work and had to finish the tear-down fast. No secsi time for pics.

Yes, yes they are quality :)

This is enough to shut up all the Sony haters :

I might be able to set up and break some MDF with and without resin at work and be able to show load vs displacement plots and actual numbers. But would anyone really pay care or would they just go on thinking that bubba joe that they know is right?

i would love to see some real testing on this forum from time to time :)

I fail to see what he did wrong. now you can't disagree with people on a forum?

Yes you can. Certainly didn't look like a 'regular' way of expressing his dissagreement (sp?) though

I missed it and now its edited. Made Mike leave though. Amazing how a couple tards manage to pretty much turn off a great portion of the truly technical people here :(

i totally understand why he's frustrated with how people react to his attempts to help them, what i don't get is why clipping is such a difficult topic for people to grasp.

Clipping is a simple concept for some people. Since most people don't even really understand what the gain knob is for though it makes sense they don't understand clipping. Until the see it on an o'scope, and not even then for some, it's just some complex fancy science electrical thingy that doesn't make sense.

WHat rips me is people will refuse to search to find out what clipping is. Wiki has a listing for christs sake. WITH PICTURES!!!11!
