I saw a co-worker get his arm sucked into a tow roll in a converting line. Pretty messy.

I like the dude getting his arm ripped off.

My dad almost had his arm ripped off when his shirt sleeve got caught in a grain auger. Luckily the shirt just ripped off and he only had a few cuts and bruises. My stepdad had a finger torn off when it got caught in a chain in a hay baler. Farm accidents happen.

Your dad is definitely lucky on that one. A local guy around home had his finger almost entirely ripped off when he jumped to get off a tractor his wedding band caught and his finger was hanging by a shred of skin, luckily they were able to reattach it for him though.

Earlier this week I almost did the same. I went to my buddies house to help him take care of his boat. He didn't tell me it was a 2 5/16" ball and my receiver is locked onto the truck with a 2". Needless to say he doesn't have so many tools so I was trying to get the ball off with a pipe wrench and it slipped *imagine that* I fell backwards hit his boat trailer and got caught by my wedding ring.

My finger is a bit mangled, bruised, and the diamond from my ring is somewhere in his yard, but there should be no long lasting effects other than I will where the ring less. I have always hated jewelry and just confirmed why.

If/when I get married I am most likely only going to wear the ring on special occasions. I can't stand jewelry, especially rings. They just irritate me. I never wear a watch either.

Glad you aren't too mangled though Sean. You actually had a diamond in your band? Don't see very many dudes with that.

One of the guys I work with has a titanium wedding band, the jewelry lady was not impressed when he went in to get it cleaned and he had welding splatter on it from welding without gloves... :)

Hence why I never wear any jewelry when working...

Same here. I might add that I NEVER wear any jewlery, unless it's an extremely special occasion.

My ring is titanium. I find myself wearing it less and less.

A really close friend of mine just buys rings that are made out of a brittle mettal. They are made to break. He still never wears it. Pisses the old lady off to no end. His job is with big shaker machines. Basicaly Huge speakers that just throw different Hz at things and shake the crap out of them untill they break. Then he trys to make it so it doesn't break.

Sounds like a hell of a job.

It was a tension set diamond in a titanium band. Basically a gap in the ring that is spread a little ways that I had a diamond plopped in the middle of. Needless to say that gap opened up a bit as a bunch of my skin popped through it.

The diamond was small and not really worth that much so nothing at all like a solitaire.

I think I may have tracked down some 12 inch pvc pipe for the next project. Too bad all the shops closed early because it's the Friday before Easter :(

CHeck this....

http://www.earthhourus.org/main.php?enews=enews0904t

people turning off lights for earth. Now, I have a question. If I turn off my lights more often HTF will that change anything other than be symbolic? It won't, the power plant isn't going to "make" less energy. AKA burn less coal, or whatever the source of energy is.

When people get behind stuff that litteraly has NO impact, and sometimes detrimental, on subjects it really rubs me wrong. Doing excersizes in "awareness" especialy when it hurt your stated goal by organizing and doing it pisses me off. So much. I'll be mad all day now.

We were partying at a friends house during the 'earth hour' where you are suppose to turn everything off for a hour. We turned everything in the house on and cranked the stereo up. :)

Pay for granite. Get the motorcycle ready for riding, maybe get the truck running, paint the bathroom, change the oil in the wifes car, grill and drink tonight.

Probably some other stuff I forgot
