Yeah they are quite surprising to me too. But they have beaten two number 1's, three if they win the championship. That would have to be a record (obviously it's the most possible) and quite impressive.

Smoked a pork picnic cut yesterday. I had never done it before but heard that pork is a pretty forgiving meat so I figured I couldn't screw it up too bad. Injected it with my own concoction beforehand, smoked it for about 6 hours or a little more, then in the oven for another 3 or so. It turned out pretty well. Not the most flavorful besides the smoke, but I didn't use any rub on the outside and my injecting liquid wasn't real potent. But oh man is it juicy and tender. Two friends and I worked on it pretty hard last night and I think there's still four pounds left.

I also smoked two quail and a pheasant. I really had no idea how long to keep them on, especially with the smoker temperature fluctuations I was experiencing, so they turned out a little dry.

yeah, pork is very hard to overcook. i like roasting pork loin in the oven or bbq with salt/pepper, olive oil, rosemary and garlic. nomnomnomnomnom!

The baked beans I cooked last night turned out pretty damn good, might have helped with the pound of bacon, the brown sugar, and the sweet onion though...

Found a car, found some boost. Now just have to get the car, order the boost and misc. parts and get it tuned. Wonder if I can limp the car to the tuner. That's a 3.5 hour drive.

If all goes well, I should have some torque by June.
