Apparently there is a good Jamaican food place here in Manhattan. Had no idea it existed but ran into a friend today and he mentioned it, definitely going to have to go take the woman this weekend and check it out. Its called 'The Little Grill' if you've heard of it KU.

Speaking of turbo engines. Was talking with dad the other day and he said the 4cyl they made for Oldsmobile was running 48psi of boost on it.
Needless to say that engine was doing over 1000hp.

I was at pomona to witness the 180mph pass. When I talked to him, he told me 70lbs of boost was going through the motor at times. Although these vids are a little before his achievement of 180, they do put in into perspective.

You saw teh Aerotech run?

*edit* I see what joo mean now. 70+psi of boost is a shitton of boost. All that boost makes it equivalent to a 9L engine... there is no replacement for displacement :)

about 20 pages ago when you guys were talking about beer laws and how cold it is where you live i realized that AZ and CA are the same. AZ just has way less hippies and cooler gun laws. CA has way more hippies and cooler drug laws.

Dont get it twisted we have our fair share of hippies too. And yea drug laws here are STRICT

plus we have more 'fresh' illegals here.........Doubt me come for a visit LOL

there's a ton of 'em in Cali too

lol yeah, our reported population is 34 million but sometimes it seems like that's the population of one of our neighbor's household... hint hint...

WTF?!?!

has to be an IndyCar engine, no?

He wouldn't have happened to work with Jim Feuling on this, would he?

One down, B in that one. Now two to go.

1 exam, a lab report, and an 8 page paper to go

the paper is kind of an optional extra and I'm starting to think it's not going to get done

C.J. Batten.

Now a company called Fuel Engineering out of California built the engine (twin turbo model) for the other car if that is what you are thinking of...

This was on Methanol ( one guy uses VP C-16, 117 octane race gas ) and stock honda H patern ''B'' series with a spool and I believe cryotreated and shotpeened internals in the trans, and welded cases. Broken, exploded, and ripped honda trans cases, tend to become issue around the 750-800whp and up range. A couple guys like Gary Gardella, are using a $20,000 x-trac sequential 4 speed trasmission. Some of these guys have since moved on to factory backed sponsored pro teams.

ok so that's like the physical limit of a honda still kind of being a honda and going fast. i'm assuming it's a tube chassis? or at least half? i tried to look up what the class that car is running in but it's vague. i mean that's not really a honda anymore is it, and that's definitely not pump gas haha.

i want one of these. i rode along in one at willow springs raceway that had a half million miles on it with some suspension upgrades and nice track tires, and was mostly stock otherwise. the old geezer driving was passing all kinds of m3's in the corners but as soon as we hit any straight we would get passed right back. i bet you could stuff a new fuel injected bmw motor in that thing and haul ass.
