Aaron, this is the business you need to get in to...forget low margin products for hoodrats...:)

What's worse is those were fervently recommended :( I couldn't stop laughing...

HOLY CRAP, $250 for a pair of RCA ends. Yikes, I am in the wrong business.

But that makes me think, we will have to come out with a driver that has a bunch of fancy technical feature names and charge 3x Icon pricing. I mean why not have one esoteric offering? Two people buy one and 1/8 of the production run is paid for, haha.

Answer me this, When I get 6 or more hours of sleep I always over sleep and feel tired when I wake up, not to mention I can barely wake up. Yet if I sleep 5 or less I feel much better and I get up faster.

To sum up, it's because of your sleep cycle. The grogginess and taking forever to truly wake up is a result of waking from the wrong stage of sleep. IIRC the normal person is on a 3 hour cycle, meaning it's best to get 3,6,or 9 hrs of sleep. but this varies hugely depending on the person.

btw you can google the sleep cycles and see the different stages, i think there's 4. been a while since i've had that class

bitter smoke would indicate to me that you're probably using "green" wood

or too much fire

or that :drink40:

Letting the flames flare up too high causes soot to build up on the exterior if I'm not mistaken?

I found out an excellent way to confuse a bank teller; try to deposit a check from yourself (bank a) to yourself (bank b). Works every time...

Individual subs are not a good high-end market. Unless you already have the enclosures built, nobody that's going to pay $1500 per meter for interconnects is going to pick up a sheet of wood to build one.

Look at the rooms at CES or RMAF. You don't see too many subs.

True, not to many subs were at RMAF.

Tell you what Aaron. You design the drivers/crossovers/etc, and I will custom build you heirloom quality cabinets for them and we can sell custom order high end home audio speakers. :)

Hell if you want to build Tractrix horns and sell them. I'll make a lathe to turn big f'ing horns. :)

Duplicator setup on a router/lathe combo and we could just make a shit ton of horns in a short time.

Jim, if I find a place for next year with a garage I plan on building a lathe to make Tractrix horns and you can have one of the first sets. :)

A 150Hz front horn with a small full range driver would be fun...15" midbasses...dual 18's in floorstanding horns for stereo subbass...figure out where to put it all later :D

Actually, I know what'll happen...I'll put it upstairs at my folks' place, they'll hear it and never want to give it back...

I need a real listening room :(

Oh yeah, JimJ, on the rickrolled labeling error, I am not sure why it is still occurring. Since I adjusted your user name to JimJ, it does not make sense for it to keep popping up with the wrong member name. I might have to do a full member cycle check to fix it, as we just did a full forum rebuild posts and sections with the recent security upgrade. But then again it could be one of the few lingering bugaboo's since the recent adjustments that fixed most of them.
