Now why the hell would you want to move to KS? Theres really not a whole lot that appeals to most people in this state. Its a big change from Hawaii, Florida to KS.

God I hated Kansas.

No offense, but you're about the only cool thing I know from kansas. I'm sure there are more, but jesus was it awefull driving through there.

Mmm, bbq. KS ribs >> all others. Texas might win on the brisket, but dang are there good eats in KS.

Maybe ryan will ship me some!

new Camaro pricing has been announced (check my thread), and today is the first day you can place an order

I know no one here is planning on getting one, but :fyi:

I plan on buying a '69

Think you can give me a hand with finding one in decent condition ? :drink40:

I can try, but you're either going to find a decent deal on a rust bucket that needs a ton of work or pay out the ass for a car in good condition

For now I'm mostly thinking about how much will one that needs work will cost me so I can start saving up (easier to save money if I have a certain goal)

The 69 is on the top of the list of what i'd like. 67-68 are in a close second. Are those easier to find and / or cheaper ? Not looking for those special series and engine codes. I don't care about getting matching numbers. :D

Something with a small engine since, along the lines of yours :)

They made the most '69s, but they will be the most expensive, as Sean said.

It's getting fairly rare to find an original 6-cylinder car, they all have V8s in them by now.

For some reason I thought the 6-cylinder is cheaper / easier to find.

Also, looking at the whole deal, it's something I will only do once and would preffer to get just what I was looking for :)

A rustier 69 could do, if it's something fixable. I don't know if it is possible to find body parts for those. As far as shipping goes, there are a lot of guys over here who import cars from the US (haven't seen too many muscle's imported though)

Just thinking out loud. I really want to take my time and analyze my options.

Yep, all body parts are reproduced, but as always, they will need fitment work

Fitment work should be easier than fixing rusted panels ?

it's getting beautiful around here.

I plan on planting a few Ginko trees this next year. I love the leaves when they turn. They pretty much all fall in one day. POOSH!

All down.

I don't really understand how the SMD crowd get appealed to this site. it really doesn't seem to jive with the feeling and mood of SSA.

I would think there wouldn't be an interest to be here.

I have a pecker knocking on my front door too. I just came across a 200lb crossbow.

woot.

Ryan, what do you know about an AR company named JP. DPMS had an 18 month wait almost everything. The dealer I was working with said they are 40,000 rifles behind. I could have been getting snowed, but I was looking at the distributer web site and there were only parts, and 1 small calibre rifle there.

DPMS is a good company, makers of fine ars. i've had the privilige of shooting one of their ar10s (.308), very accurate, easy to shoot gun with a good trigger. they are probably in the same boat as rock river, meaning they have a goverment contract, and that has put production rifles on the backburner. rock river parts are 21 weeks out for the uppers.

look into bushmaster, dpz, armalite (picking on of those up today) or the used market if a dpms is what you have to have. stag arms is another reputable company, not too mention smith and wesson m&p 15s are gaining favor, adn are very competively priced, most well under $1k.

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

Thanks I did find a dpms in .308, but it was digital camo. No thanks. If I was going to buy DPMS I would get the sass anyway just due to the wait. I will look again at armalite, the .308 selection was slim, and bushmaster really didn't have much in a .308.

What I want is a MOA/sub MOA in .308 no more than 20" with ALL the trimming I can get, to me I would rather have and not need, than to later want what I do not have. I want the tippy top. Armalite wants' 3k for theirs, and I am just not sure I'm willing to spend THAT much. It's one heck of a gun, but meh.

The JP is JP enterprises. Check them out I got to play with a trigger group that they use standard with their weapons. AMAZING. 1

jp looks like a fine, albeit fairly expensive, option. i would like their adjustable gas block/front sight for my armalite.

with what you are considering, i think a $2k pricetag (new) is going to be about the norm. though i did see an armalite for $1400 in a google search...

I expected to be 1500-3000 depending on the style and what goodies I do spring for.

All I know is that JP trigger set was freaking AMAZING. 4 lbs I think. smoother than butter. I bet it would be no problem to toss 2 down lane without any thought.
