I also see a new DPMS .308, and springfield xD 9mm in my near future. Maybe an extra lower AR15 receiver too. Have to find a gun show that panther will be at in early october that I can make it to.

On Monday we just inherited a new romanian AK with a tacticle red dot and a beautiful crossbow to the collection at the house now. Also the roomie got back his 7mm mag bolt action rifle, and his other 1911.

It's been an exciting week

Just need a carbine and we should be set

That sounds good. If it was me picking up that AR-10 I'd get a flat top and put some nice glass on top of it. But I don't know what you plan on using it for, my use would be anything out to 800yrds.

And why couldn't I have done a simple stick a CD player in the Cadillac and be done with it, would have made life so much easier...

exactly the same!

I want Semi auto and not retarded long range but 800 is about what I am looking for.

I really like the SASS system, but thats a fair amount to throw down. As you call it, there is a bunch of "tacticrap" on it too. Really nice set up though.

My personal choice would be about a 22" fluted heavy bull barrel, target crown, two stage match trigger, upgraded adjustable stock, flat top, bi-pod, and a matte blued finish if I could get it.

Then for the tacticool crap I'd get one in .223, 16" barrel, aimpoint, light, tactical sling, collapsible stock, etc.

Then if you are damn good with a bolt gun and have one set up right you can run a bolt gun at about 90% of the speed of a AR at engaging long distance targets.

I'm don't think I will be buying 2 full ARs. I need something I can hunt in the woods, and have fun shooting LR.

:woot:

Next couple of weeks I'm going to be working with a friend on a hotel sound system. 2 conference rooms, one apartment, floor ambiental sound system and 2 fitness rooms. Should be fun :D

Time to put together an Audison SRx3 and start tinkering on a Hifonics.

The Hifonics was supposedly new but when I turned it on it went into protect.

That surprised the hell out of me.

Of course for nearly the same price I could buy a 2005 E55 AMG with 40k mi or a 2007 Audi S6 V10 with 25k miles. $5k adder on the Audi.

I would take the E55 over the audi.

WHat did you think though, and have you driven the audi S6?

I haven't yet, and actually probably won't. I didn't realize that they were all automatics :(

My memory of the Benz was better than the drive. I expected/remembered a much better fit and finish then it actually had. It didn't help that it was dirty and smelled a bit like a smokers car. I think that silver one has had a hard life. From today's drive if I have to choose to drive a completely free to me S4 for 3 years or pay $2k a year for the Benz, I'd take the S4. If they were both 100% free to me (minus repairs) I think I'd take the E55.

I didn't drive this, because I am frightened that I'd really like it. Maybe I'll wait 6 months and get one.

Other than a little space it is nicer than the E in nearly every way...except of course the seats which are really, really sweet in the E.

WOW!!

Why are all these amazing cars all autos.... I told the W since I can't have my AMG now, I'm going to buy a CTS-V 4 years from now in a stick. First used one to come back! Just needs to be black on black with a stick. lol

I guess I did sit in the E at night. It looked verry clean and smelled of fresh air freshiner to me. Even under the hood looked solid. Maybe I was just too captivated. It ideled great and revved up well when I was there. Did you see the black one?

Sounds like the E is not meant to be.

I wanted to look at the C also, but they couldn't find that either.

I think the C is not so pretty from the outside. My cohort titled it the Mazda-Benz when we saw the first couple that arived in maplewood. The AMG it much better looking though I will say that.

I wish I could fit in an S4, but it was truely awefull shape for me and the wife when we tested it. Maybe if I could lean back in it gangstah style, but then driving it would be worthless. The S5 was MUCH nicer.
