Why is it every pucking car I want to buy in my price range coincidentally sells right before I call on it?

Hey, that feeling's familiar :D

Going to go drive one of the 08 3.5 DI right now. We shall see. I am really, really skeptical but hell it's lunch time.

it was the only non specialty badged sedan that made my short list to drive. I really liked it.

It wasn't on mine, but reading the performance stats of 0-60 in 6.3 changed that; however, the stats are read were bullshit. The thing is slow. More than fast enough for the w, but it isn't going to keep me happy. Not worth the $52k asking price.

I could handle this, if someone twisted my arm.

WHy no newer M5's Sean, such as the E39 types?

E39 << E34 both in speed and handling. E60 can bite me as it adds ugly to the list. It really hurts me to say that too as I have been a bm'er fanatic for a really long time.

you must have. About 6 pages back. The w is with baby. Not far along though, and actually no one here knows yet other than my parents whom we told last night. Conception was about the day before I left for Asia.

Sean, you know I am biased towards the E55. But if you want, the prior gen E55 has been proven to be just about bullet proof and can be had for about 25-28k, but it does not have as much body work to set it apart from a standard E500. Also, had you considered a used 540i or the up coming 335D?

I still want a '93 500E, pretty much an E55 with out an AMG badge on the back. :)

Thanks for the Congrats! It was definitely planned and occurred later than it was supposed to, but at least it happened! And hell, I like the practice anyways.

Many say the 500E handles better than the E55, but jeez they are almost the same money.

I know the previous generation E55 without the supercharger is a lot more reliable and a better choice, but visually the car doesn't excite me. The 03+ completely makes me drool, inside and out.

As for the AMG badge, it doesn't do anything for me either. I would actually probably de-badge the car as I surely "don't need no stinking badges"

I drove the 335 (not the D) but nonetheless I am completely and utterly not interested. BM'er has taken a huge crap the past 5 years and just refuses to make anything that stirs the soul anymore. Boring on the inside and the out :( It hurts me to say it, but it is true. I'd actually rather have the Lexus ISF than the M3 and I will NOT own a Japanese car.

I forsee an E55 in M5's garage whether its the best fiscal idea or not. :lol2:

Here is my fundamental problem with the CTS:

One's got woodgrain and metal, the other doesn't?

Actually you just described the two parts of the new interior that I don't like.

What I do is the leather covered dash, lack of cheap plastic everywhere, and a more logical integration for the Nav screen.

I could care less about wood and the metal looks cheap even in the new one, although I'd take the metal and wood over plastic.

Is it really grey? I thought it was something wrong with the exposure setting on the camera

Basically what you're saying is, more fabric, less plastic?

Actually just less cheap plastic would be fine.

got new couch dropped it off today.

Now... on to the tables. I'll let u know if it's any good shape by the time I'm done sean, or if it gets the hammer.

table #1 got the hammer....

Tell me you didn't just throw that slate away! You can use it in so many decorative places around the house.

GM Crap.

Although the new CTS

I could live with the new. Although only a 3.6L V6 I am not so sure.

what a giant mish mash of shit

soo much cleaner:

It was Japanese boring and the inside isn't as nice as the 91 M5. It just did nothing for me.

Back when they realized all you needed were three pedals, a gearshift, and a steering wheel. Speedometer optional :D
