Damn it. Going to have to drive the damn E55 again, but I know myself and it will make me want no other car. Probably a stupid move too.

Considering what work gives me towards a car lease.

If I got a CTS-V it would be free and include a w505/H701/blackbird + snow tires and rims.

If I get an S4 it will cost me about $100/mo

If I get an E55 it will cost me $250/mo

The other problem is that the 09 CTS-V will be really desirable to me in about 3 years and I won't want to go from one CTS to another. NO!!!

By the way, I really, really hate leasing. :(

That's a no-brainer. Take the Caddy, throw money you would have been spending on one of the others in an IRA, and buy the Pantera in a couple years. With a baby on the way, you want something you won't have to worry much about. With the Caddy, everything is free and if it gets tore up, who cares?

Thanks for all the links guys. I love that damn car, and realized that they are "somewhat" affordable now. Although if much goes wrong it would take it out of the affordable area really damn quick.

This is ture Sean. I think there would be some warranty on it?

Usualy if you buy the higher quality performance parts they are cheeper... and better than OEM. You know that though.

I would be quite envious of you if you did get a great deal like that. Great car, I bet even more fun to drive. It's on my short list. Comfort is #1 of every car I have ever drove. Price is right at under 35,000 with only 28k. Say you dump in 5k right of fthe bat in repairs, it's still about the price it *should* be.

That's my .02

=)

35k is affordable (*pukes*) 40k is not.

I understand, I'm just being the devils advocate. I want to live through you and watch you get it. But average price sold for those with average miles is still 41k or so.

The W really really likes the E class, so it's not a hard sell. I'm just nto sure with how much I dive and considering I won't buy a car that will be winter garaged, I maybe shouldn't own something like that.

winter rims and tires can be had for the E for around $1400 delivered that look pretty good as well.

My truck and M5 will get sold when this happens.

Our cars are currently paid for which means:

The M5 turns into all new kitchen appliances.

The truck and the w's Audi turn into a Buick Enclave (or similar) so I can tow the boat/snowmobiles and she doesn't have to bend way over with a baby seat.

And work leases me whatever I buy.

<-- still hates the lease

From what it looks like on the cts-v I'm pretty sure I want it to have my babies. I haven't seen one yet. Not one any where.

Good I was going to be mad if you had taken one for a spin. I nearly put money down when I was punch drunk from an influx of money.

I always do that though. Get grand idea's and then get smart and put 80% away, and use the other to pay the bills.

=)

Here is my fundamental problem with the CTS:

GM Crap.

Although the new CTS

I could live with the new. Although only a 3.6L V6 I am not so sure.

The update is nice. The new CTS-v is supposed to come with a better appointed special "onyx" interior so said the one of the cady dealers I visited.

I am most interested in the CTS as I can STILL GET A MANUAL. I really miss a clutch. It's the verry reason I didn't buy that '03 E55 for 20k. I am not as die hard now though.

=/

Actually you just described the two parts of the new interior that I don't like.

What I do is the leather covered dash, lack of cheap plastic everywhere, and a more logical integration for the Nav screen.

I could care less about wood and the metal looks cheap even in the new one, although I'd take the metal and wood over plastic.

lol

You get a SWEET blose sound system with it though!

lol

Umm, great.

304hp, 0-60 in the mid 6's. Not bad for a 6, but I really hate to buy a car that is slower or handles worse than my M. In particular when it is nearly 20 years newer

Tractor wheel falling off JUST after you get off the highway doing 20mph down a hill...

Ouch.

Damn replacing the rear axle seal on the backhoe. Struggled almost all day to undo 2 bolts.

The most user friendly interior I have ever been in comes from VW and audi.

The main draw on the S4 actually, the interior f&f is gorgeous.

What is making you really want to sell the M sean?

Time. Also value. Currently it should sell for what I paid for it, but I am near the mystical depreciation point of 100k miles. Just under 90k will suit the new owner more. Also, everytime I drive the car I don't drive it like I should. I am a bit too conservative with it since it is red, a classic, and if something catastrophic happens exorbitant to replace parts on. The little stuff is cheap, the big stuff absurd.
